Abigail and the Future: This boy of mine h3.post-title
http://www.abigailandthefuture.com/2015/07/this-boy-of-mine.html
DAYS OUT and ADVENTURES. This boy of mine. So I'm not really sure how long its even been since I have written a little update on Theo, but now seems like the right time. I've been away once again with the start of the holidays and having my boy at home with me has left me with little time to sit and blog, or even to formulate the thoughts I have enough into sentences. Labels: A Theo update. I love hearing from you! Why not leave a comment? Subscribe to: Post Comments ( Atom ). This boy of mine.

Abigail and the Future: March 2015h3.post-title
http://www.abigailandthefuture.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
DAYS OUT and ADVENTURES. A family walk: Slimbridge Wetland Centre. So last week Theo's little friend turned four and we decided to take a day out from nursery to celebrate together. It's rare that we get full days together other than in the holidays, and it's sometimes it's good to take advantage of the week days in school time. Before long that will be us, confined to visiting places on school holidays and battling the crowds. I'm going to miss these days. Anyway, we decided to travel to Slimbridge.
Abigail and the Future: Theo's house rules h3.post-title
http://www.abigailandthefuture.com/2015/05/theos-house-rules.html
DAYS OUT and ADVENTURES. Since Theo's grown older he's become a lot more assertive about what he likes and doesn't like meaning we have to employ bargaining tools on a regular basis. I guess it comes with the age and becoming more self aware of his wants and needs, but his reasoning and rationality isn't really up to speed meaning there seem to be quite a few moments where his expectations and mine are wildly different! I took a little video of our conversation:. Should be a great rule for our house!

DAYS OUT and ADVENTURES. Twenty - twenty-one / fifty-two. Late late late. I'm finding it hard to get back to normal, to dedicate the time to this blog. But here are two little portraits and snapshots from the past few weeks. Enjoy! I love hearing from you! Why not leave a comment? Subscribe to: Post Comments ( Atom ). Twenty - twenty-one / fifty-two. Taking the scenic route. So that was Summer; part three. Design by Sky and Stars.

Estrella: Getting my sweat on
http://estrellashine.blogspot.com/2012/09/getting-my-sweat-on.html
Family, food and fitness from a crafty mama of two. Saturday, 8 September 2012. Getting my sweat on. For the first time in a long time (since having babies? I'm feeling properly fit. Not quite looking it yet but these things take time y'know? Since running a half marathon last year and it pretty much killing any enjoyment I had for running (not that much actually, to be fair) the old exercise has been a bit sporadic, limited to cycling into work and the odd token jog or gym session when I could fit it in.
Tiny Dancer: First post - 22 weeks

A newbie mama's honest journey through pregnancy, birth and all that follows. Thursday, 8 December 2011. First post - 22 weeks. So, first post, who knows where this journey's going to take me. I actually write another couple of blogs but have decided for the moment to keep this one anonymous, mainly so I can be more honest and write without worrying who I know who might be reading. I'm currently 22 weeks and 5 days and feeling baby A ( we have a name but like everything for now I'm going to keep it quiet!
Estrella: August 2012
http://estrellashine.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Family, food and fitness from a crafty mama of two. Monday, 27 August 2012. A rainy/sunny/rainy bank holiday. We loaded up Bertie this weekend and headed West to St Davids for a family camping weekend. We didn't really do much, just mooched around the beaches, did some cliff walking (in flip-flops. Never underestimate how unprepared we can be) and watched a lifeboat launch. 85 years old) and my Dad sliced his head open. Standard. Tuesday, 21 August 2012. Comfort food on a stormy day. Giving knitting less...

This is the house that we built: Welcome to the world and our home for the next 8 weeks
http://thisisthehousethatwebuilt.blogspot.com/2011/03/welcome-to-world-and-our-home-for-next.html
This is the house that we built. At the beginning of this year I begun a new life in a house by the sea. I call the house 'our crumbling castle by the sea'. It is old and beautiful but very much in need of some love. We moved here because it is 1. By the Sea 2. Big and reasonable 3. We fell in love with it's hidden loveliness. Sunday, 20 March 2011. Welcome to the world and our home for the next 8 weeks. So it was a long night but one of the best ever. A date with bubbly followed by kittens!
Something I Made: 30 Days Wild in June
http://www.somethingimade.co.uk/2015/07/30-days-wild-in-june.html
Thursday, 2 July 2015. 30 Days Wild in June. I like to fool people and pretend we live in the country. well not really but I do occasionally look over my photos (or glance at my instagram. Feed) and think who am I kidding? So when I heard about the Wildlife Trust's 30 Day Wild project I thought we'd give it a go. the idea was to try to do something involving nature everyday.*. Here's a few of the things we got up to. Picking elderflowers for cordial making. Eating food straight from the garden. the f...

Travelling alone with a child is also a bit of a headache as invariably it will be me who has to lug around all the cases and bags. So I was delighted when we were given the chance to try out a Trunki. Which meant he could pack his own case as well as have the fun of wheeling it around and riding on it at the airport. I'm hoping we'll go on many more (real and imaginary! Adventures with Benny, and I was so thankful for it on this trip! Links to this post. Seventeen / fifty - two. Links to this post.

Summer in the city (plus Trunki Paddlepak GIVEAWAY). With the start of the holidays and endless long days stretching before us Theo and I have been trying to take advantage of our time without the restrictions of nursery drop offs and pick ups. Although I'll be the first to admit I do miss those few hours in the afternoons to myself, it has given us a chance to leave the little bubble of our neighbourhood in search of new adventures. We stopped for food at one of our personal favourites, The Burger Joint...

Saturday, May 9, 2015. She Might Not Look Like A Mother. She might not look like a mother. She might not have her children by her side. They might not wake her up tomorrow with breakfast in bed. She might be missing some of the ones she had hoped to bring in this world. She might be missing the babies who never even were, the ones she'd dreamt about in her younger years. She might be the one with tears in her eyes tomorrow. She might not even show up for church. You might wish a mother Happy First. It wa...
