Broome Breviary: July 2010
http://broomebreviary.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 11, 2010. A few days ago, we had the opportunity to help in the transport of African refugees from the airport to their new home. Refugees are individuals fleeing their home country for religious, racial or political reasons. Our first experience serving these people was amazing - awesome, awkward, emotional, exciting, a true blessing. I pray that they can see Christ through her service and love for them. Our schedules right now are pretty tight, so I have been just thinking through how we c...
Broome Breviary: February 2011
http://broomebreviary.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. What's in a name? For months we have been considering a name for our baby girl. I am Italian, have a very strong Sicilian influence via my Dad’s side, we have visited Italy and love the country (hope to go back! So even before we knew it was a girl, we were considering Italian names. To be honest, most Italian boy names are a little over the top for us, so I am not sure we will be able to find a boy name if we ever have a boy. This is her name! A few nights ago, as we were dis...
Broome Breviary: April 2010
http://broomebreviary.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 9, 2010. It is me, K, writing right now, and I have much to say, but don’t really know what to say? So what do I hope to contribute to this blog, what am I and what can I share with others? Sometimes I am afraid to classify myself as something if I am not an “expert.” Yet, I think I am one of those people who is good (or decent) at many things but perhaps not a stand out at any one. What is better? Here are some of my pictures. I am a web designer who did not major in web design. My pre...

Monday, December 6, 2010. Shutterfly's Christmas Card Promotion. I will admit to usually being that person who always has great intentions about sending a family Christmas card, but for some reason or another, usually does not get around to it. It saddens me because I love Christmas, I love receiving Christmas cards, and I truly have the desire to keep in touch with friends and family with a yearly update and picture. They have tons of cute designs to choose from (it was hard to pick one!
Broome Breviary: April 2011
http://broomebreviary.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 3, 2011. I can't take credit for that catchy title - a play on our last name, Lily's late arrival and blooming, like a flower (lily) does - it was cleverly created by a dear girlfriend, A. She was an English major and is now a teacher - oh so creative. So unlike most people, I am not looking forward to this appointment, but I don't have a choice if I want to try to keep waiting for her to come naturally. But, at the same time, maybe God is trying to show us something. Maybe our plan...Witho...

Thursday, October 28, 2010. Our friends joined us on the hay ride. C and B raced each other on the go-carts. They really like pigs. J trying to figure out the maze. We had a great time! SoI'm not that great of a blogger. I am well intentioned, but just not into it enough. My last update was in July. Oopps. It was a fun summer. Too hot, too long (it's still too hot) but I have much to be thankful for. Her children (who are awesome by the way - so well behaved! It was also great to see everyone out and abo...
Broome Breviary: It’s Girl Time
http://broomebreviary.blogspot.com/2010/11/its-girl-time.html
Thursday, November 18, 2010. It’s Girl Time. On Thursday, November 11 (Veterans Day), we had our 21 week ultrasound appointment to see how our Baby Broome has grown the past few months and to find out the gender. To say we were excited was to put it lightly – we were so stinkin’ excited! Now, I don’t know what the future holds for this little life, and regardless of his/her health, I know everything is in God’s hands and will go exactly as He planned; however, it was a huge blessing and relie...To be hon...

Abigail Borg | Surface Pattern Designer & Floral Illustrator | Traditional Surface Pattern Design
I am an illustrator and surface pattern designer with a love for hand drawn design. My work varies in levels of intricacy and colour, being influenced by traditional pattern design and botanical illustration. For me, nature informs all that I do and takes the lead in terms of colour and design. There is nothing more beautiful than botanicals and I hope to spread that passion through my work. I take great care and pride in ensuring that all of my products are made, printed and manufactured in Great Britain.

abigailbosanko | Reads, writes, eats, sleeps, mums.
Reads, writes, eats, sleeps, mums. Why is this good writing? A little bit of analysis. I’ve been moving bookshelves, lugging piles of paperbacks from upstairs to downstairs. When the cat ran under my feet I had to grab the bannister and dropped the books. As I watched them slew down the stairs I couldn’t help noticing, in that moment of slapstick, that they were all comic novels. There was one only book within reach: Marina Lewycka’s. A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian’. Statement – short, pi...
