Very slowly finished the half-marathon. nothing to brag about, seriously. ok, well, just a little: I didn't walk at all! Plus, I really didn't train during the month leading up to it, so I can't complain about how slowly I jogged. This is a breaking news announcement post: I am going to commit to losing 30 pounds in 30 weeks. yeah, I know that isn't crazy or anything, but have you seen me lately? And that's all for now!

It's really best not to get hung up on such things. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Yesterday marked the beginning of the sixth week of my 10k training regimen. I have been nearly slavishly devoted to the schedule.except I've been doing a teensy bit more than required for the long runs (I'm up to 5.4 miles in roughly one hour! I've been making great progress with the running, but terrible progress with weight loss. I have not lost one single pound since the beginning of the 10k training! Thursday, May 24, 2012.

I even impulse bought a digital copy of her book, which is a really big deal for me because I loathe spending money on digital media. that's like one thing I'm hyper old school about. It's really best not to get hung up on such things. Monday, October 14, 2013. I think I'm making progress, although the scale refuses to move steadily down by one pound each week. it's more like some weeks I'm down a shocking four pounds and other weeks up a sad three pounds. altogether, I think I did lose at least four or five pounds in month one of working out steadily. He's no Brian Jones, but he calls breaths with poses and doesn't rush through things just because his practice is called power yoga.
