The TanK Times: November 2012

Friday, November 2, 2012. Essay about Housework and Teaching our Children to Work. 8220;I guess for me it’s not so much an economic issue as it is a character one. I believe that work sanctifies us. I had a class at BYU (Yes, I know—here I go! 8221; (Just as a disclaimer, I am not referring to Trent here! The moms in our ward that have cleaning ladies have justified the maids because they say things like, “oh, I still make my kids clean up their own rooms! Do you value your time? Let me share a little qu...

The TanK Times: August 2011
http://thetanktimes.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. Summer- Where did you go? Trent and me and Catamaran Resort at Mission Bay for Trent's summer work picnic. This was my dance outfit when I was 5! Hailey loved it and did NOT want to take it off for bed. This picture was just too typical of Cory's face. Kids were all playing dress-up. We went out on Mission Bay in a paddleboat when we were there for Trent's work party. It looks cold, but it was actually about 75 degrees- just overcast. We rode this little train on the 4th of July.

The TanK Times: March 2011
http://thetanktimes.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 8, 2011. My Birthday and kids outside. The kids lately have been playing "Traffic" on our driveway. So we drew some roads and sidewalks and Cory always has to be the cop. Right now he's giving Sophie a ticket for speeding. Cory is the cop, and he's warning them of a stoplight they missed. Sophie loves to ride her bike outside. Hailey on her scooter. Cory did find this hermit crab. A view of some of the tidepools. Me with my three kids, on my 32nd birthday! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Aren ...

Taking a bath in Grandpa's big bathtub during our vacation! Hailey's present from us for her 5th birthday. This was Hailey's cake I made for our family party, which was actually on her birthday- on New Year's Eve! A bunch of the cousins at my parents house in AZ over the holiday. These pictures are really out of order!

The TanK Times: September 2011
http://thetanktimes.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 28, 2011. We had such a full month- with all the fun activities, it felt more like summer than school starting! But we still started school, soccer (Cory's plays on a team, I play in the mornings with other women from church), and I started teaching 4 piano students and next month I'll add 7 more! Most rides we waited for less than 5 minutes and several rides towards the end of our day, we got to ride again and again because there was no line at all! We had a lot of fun enjoying our ...

The TanK Times: Long Hiatus and Choir Heartaches
http://thetanktimes.blogspot.com/2012/10/long-hiatus-and-choir-heartaches.html
Sunday, October 28, 2012. Long Hiatus and Choir Heartaches. It's been several months since I've posted last, which is strange for me. I felt for awhile that since I write a pretty detailed "family letter" to my closest family members about once a month, that that should cover things pretty well. And lately, I've been posting more pictures on Facebook. So what is "it"? Do we "dumb down" our RS Lessons? Do we "dumb down" our Ward activities or RS Meetings? You can still do it! With choir, there is NO WAY I...

Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Another trip to Legoland. Hailey and Cory with a a Darth Vader Lego Guy! Our passes expire this July, so we have to make it worth it! Cory and Hailey with Obi Wan Kenobi at Legoland. Cory found some storm troopers! It was Star Wars Days at Legoland. That's why we braved the cold. Sophie is finally three! Old enough to ride these cars alone! It was cloudy and in the low 60's, so we were chilly! It even started drizzling a few times. I got new jeans and a purse! He's on the Braves.

The TanK Times: July 2010
http://thetanktimes.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 28, 2010. When they ask me at work, "Why are you leaving? The answer is simple. I will point to these three pictures. I will be officially leaving my part-time job on August 6. I'm so excited! Sophie is growing so fast each day, I miss her terribly, even though I get home by 1pm. Sometimes when I'm sitting at my desk, I imagine her walking around the corner with her pudgy, tanned arms outstretched to me and her unruly blonde curls, and I get all choked up! But she's still not ME! Anyway, ...

The TanK Times: November 2011
http://thetanktimes.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 12, 2011. This is Hailey at her preschool class as a peer helper. The teachers have told me a couple different times that Hailey is the perfect peer model and is so helpful and kind to her classmates. This is Hailey after trick-or-treating. She was just too worn out to smile anymore- we went all over our neighborhood (which includes lots of hills! Sophie with all her loot. Cory still had energy to smile. Sophie before we left for trick-or-treating being her usual silly self. Trent and ...
