Jimmy Spice’s (Birmingham) review. The food was good value, with the set price very reasonable and the quality of food a great deal more reasonable than expected. A service charge is added (the waiters clear plates away) but the option of adding another 10% is also provided in a way that unwitting customers end up paying a little more than they perhaps should have done. Black Pudding and Mozzarella fritters. November 14, 2015. November 14, 2015. Well when I saw this on the menu of the Boathouse restaurant in Bangor I was, of course, very excited. Cheese and black pudding are two of my favourite things, and to have them rolled into little balls and fried sounded heavenly. November 15, 2015. You can’t go wrong with cheesy bacon fries! Even the terrible ones are delicious, and these ones weren’t terrible by any stretch of the imagination. TGI Fridays may be slightly overpriced for the quality of the food, but they know their fries. The fries themselves are crispy, with a tasty seasoning.
