A Blog about Compost: October 2014
http://ablogaboutcompost.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
A Blog about Compost. And what grows in it. Wednesday, 29 October 2014. Nasturtium - jewels of Autumn. I sow a few Nasturtiums every year but they also seed about by themselves so I have quite an abundance of them now. I usually buy a cheap packet somewhere as an extra to the seeds I plan and order in January. After all, there is not much else to do in the garden at that time of year or if there is, you don't want to go out! I can't resist the bright colours though I also like the creamy ones too. This y...

A Blog about Compost. And what grows in it. Monday, 26 December 2016. In a vase on Monday - Flowering for Christmas. I just wanted to see how many things I had flowering on Christmas day. I've heard it's a thing people do! I hope you agree it's a welcome bit of colour. Tiny shot glasses were used for the arrangements, I find them perfect for small things. Mahonia - nameless. The perfume is so sweet but it doesn't last well in a vase. Salad Rocket flowers - a bit of a cheat as they are in my tunnel. I not...

A Blog about Compost. And what grows in it. Tuesday, 28 April 2015. There are always pests. I haven't given up gardening or composting, despite the lack of posts. The truth is we have been trying to move and my focus has not been on my garden. We thought we would be moving in March but that didn't happen. Things are still up in the air but we are hopeful. I have a fantastic crop of dandelions. I've been out deadheading regularly but there seem to be bigger and better ones every day. Prize specime...I hav...

A Blog about Compost. And what grows in it. Tuesday, 21 July 2015. My Viridor Compost delivery. Very early on Thursday morning a delivery driver appeared at my back door. Luckily I was up and about even though I wasn't expecting him until 8am and I though that was early. This is what he was delivering:. This is around 2 tonnes of recycled garden compost from the Viridor. It you are local you can have it delivered or buy it from local waste recycling centres. Luckily it was just the right size for the pic...
A Blog about Compost: November 2014
http://ablogaboutcompost.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
A Blog about Compost. And what grows in it. Tuesday, 25 November 2014. We've finally had a proper frost and that means the end of any tender plants left outside. I still have a few Nasturtiums and they are abundant in leaf but very few flowers. I have pulled some of them up but the rest will have turned to slime now. Also the Dahlia foliage is blackened so the tubers can be dug up and stored somewhere dry and cool. A couple of weeks ago I was out on a misty, grey day:. Spider web on an everlasting pea.

A Blog About Chicken
Top 10 Menu Items: Chick-fil-A. If we are gonna do “Best of” and “Top 10″ lists, we might as well start at the top of the chicken food pyramid. I remember going to the mall as a kid and whenever we were there around lunch/dinner time, I always wanted Chick-fil-A. It was yummy. It was unlike any other fast food chicken. And you could only get it in malls. I don’t know. Best Of-Top 5-Top 10. Best Of-Top 5-Top 10. A Word From Our Sponsors.

It is very mild though, that's about the best you can say about it apart from the fact it is qu ite. Two days is enough though. I have created two vases though. This is the first:. Then I remembered that there is one thing flowering so I should take advantage of that:. Falls gracefully and is perennial but I don't know what it is.
