Spirit in the Wild Wood: A Christian Response to Newtown, Part 2
http://spiritinthewildwood.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-christian-response-to-newtown-part-2.html
Saturday, January 19, 2013. A Christian Response to Newtown, Part 2. Continuing from 01/17/13…. 8220;…if we ignore the REAL cause of his problems, by claiming that his actions are a logical result of our fallen nature as a species,…”. I guess this is what philosophy is all about. Philosophy = the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct.[1]. Is a corollary of the "What is truth? So spiritual versus rational:. Three responses come to my mind. Calling for punishme...

http://spiritinthewildwood.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 22, 2012. Joy of the Feast. The only Eternal Kingdom rules my heart. And I am filled to brimming over. With family and friends. I share a communion. Of the Bread of Life. Filled with new wine. I am thankful to You, in-dwelling Presence of Jesus,. I am clothed with righteousness,. Peace and joy in Your Holy Spirit. A Thanksgiving feast with meat and gravy and cream? With but rice today will I be any less satisfied? Ah, the continual feasting. Under the banner of the love. View my page on.

Spirit in the Wild Wood: July 2012
http://spiritinthewildwood.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 26, 2012. Here’s a man who makes a clearly radical decision in support of a discredited and even hated by many regime, yet he remains a well remembered and honored character in the history being told by the winning side. What is the mitigating dynamic here? Is it that he chose honor (in the form of love for his home state) and dedicated himself to duty? Honor and duty mattered that much…these matter now? Ah, the twist and turns in the Wild Wood! Links to this post. Labels: Thought for Today.

Sunday, January 20, 2013. An interesting article reporting on research that is somewhat connected to recent topics here in the Wild Wood. Http:/ www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm? Spirit in the Wild Wood: December 2012
http://spiritinthewildwood.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 16, 2012. The Massacre of Children. As the pain of watching the news Friday evening wet my cheeks and stabbed my heart, I heard the words more than once from those who were closer to the event than I: “There are no words.”. I realized in the words of those reporting the horror, I had many words. My thoughts were full, and many of my words were not polite. I wasn't cussing in my head, though I had anger in desire- lusting? For society, I have plenty. We Americans reap the whirlwind as...

Ten Thousand Reasons – Song Receiver
https://songreceiver.wordpress.com/2016/11/06/ten-thousand-reasons
My songs, my thoughts, my life. November 6, 2016. Mom and Dad,. Here is video of me accompanying the Choir at First Baptist this morning. I was sitting behind and to the right of the choir, so you can hear them very well. I was concerned that their vocals would drown out my guitar, but since my camera phone was right in front of me it ended up nicely balanced. I hope you enjoy it. Jesus Blessed Jesus – Song Receiver
https://songreceiver.wordpress.com/2016/11/09/jesus-blessed-jesus
My songs, my thoughts, my life. November 9, 2016. November 9, 2016. 8212;———-. One year ago I spent the night at my sister Susan’s bedside for what turned out to be her last night. The next day, November 10th of 2015, she was welcomed into heaven. But it meant so much to me to have those nights at her bedside. The first night I was with her by myself. The last night I was joined by my nephew Dan and my sister Ginger. 8220;This life was just a moment in the morning of our day.”. There’s One Who can comfort.
