PHNOM PENH: Hun Sen Boulevard
http://phnompenhplaces.blogspot.com/2013/11/hun-sen-boulevard.html
Tuesday, November 12, 2013. The filling in of the verges of the area began long ago, but was halted. Around 2009 it became a major project, and although the municipality claimed it was only going to build a road across it, to join Monivong Boulevard with Highway 2 in Ta Khmao, this initial idea has been expanded. PHNOM PENH: Ting Mong
http://phnompenhplaces.blogspot.com/2013/09/ting-mong.html
Thursday, September 5, 2013. These are what appear to be scarecrows commonly seen in the northern part of the country, but aren't used to scare crows, but to scare away evil spirits. They are often armed with fake machetes, guns or even rocket launchers. A friend took this picture in Kampong Thom province. What's unusual about this one is the "appendage" between its legs. PHNOM PENH: September 2012
http://phnompenhplaces.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 23, 2012. I'd guess this picture was taken around 1989 as the hotel looks almost complete other than the front grounds. There was a water sport complex which briefly became a casino in the late 60's in the area to the south, but the water is now part of Hun Sen Park and the Dreamland amusement park. PHNOM PENH: August 2012
http://phnompenhplaces.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 22, 2012. What is unusual about the one in the museum grounds is its small size, the figures are smaller than life-size, and made from reinforced concrete. The weathering and lichen on the statue make it look very ancient, although it couldn't be more than 33 years old. Statue in front of National Museum. Statue on monument in Phnom Penh.
