The front pond is full after a 2-inch storm that hit us Sunday evening. It's still raining into the week - the morning newspaper featured a picture of a man from Seattle who had moved here to get out of the rainy northwest, sweeping water off of the flat roof of his hotel. Thursday, June 28, 2007. Critters in the Yard. There's a bird with a 'very safe' nest in the cholla cactus out front (picture left). At least we're not going to reach in to touch her. Jon saw some babies in the nest this evening. Jon also found this turtle (picture right) in the raspberries the other day. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. The remodelers arrived yesterday and did all the demo work on the hall bath. They took out everything; even a cabinet we agreed that would be faced rather than replaced. Oh well, we'll just work it from here and hope that the job gets done by the time all the family members return to Casa Bonita for Christmas.
