Back in the Desert. About two hours back, I put a beer in my pocket and hiked up onto the ridge behind my Dad's place to watch the sun set. Desert sunsets are the prettiest and finding your way back down in the dark is a special kind of fun. I'm in Phoenix 'til Tuesday. Travels and Travails in Africa. Thursday, July 31, 2008. I am in Tanzania and have a new phone number 076 585 1251 with a 255 prefix I think.you might not need the 0 before the 76. I am in central Arusha living with a host family and one other volunteer. Things are good and my orientation for the project is tomorrow. I will teach 2-12 year olds in an orphanage.
