http://nugeeyang.blogspot.com/2012/10/one-year.html
My life as Nugee. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." -Psalm 119:105. Saturday, October 13, 2012. 8:02pm Monday, April 2, 2012. A year has come and gone. I cannot believe I've lived and survived in a different country for a whole year. I was thinking about it the other day.and there are so many people who live in only one country for their whole life. never getting to see and experience anything else. I feel so privileged to have gotten the chance to live and experience Korea.

My Passage to India: Om Mani Padme Hum: Compassion, Charity, and a Headache
http://rachelspassagetoindia.blogspot.com/2011/12/om-mani-padme-hum-compassion-charity.html
My Passage to India. Sunday, 11 December 2011. Om Mani Padme Hum: Compassion, Charity, and a Headache. This was potentially the hardest piece of writing I have ever tried to write. This essay explores my difficulties coming to terms with charity and compassion within myself and my group members. I'm also trying to add more descriptions and make the writing more clear in general. I'm having some of the same issues I had with " A Bus to Dharamasla". In keeping the present and past separated. Snot and Untol...

My Passage to India: Snot and Untold Stories
http://rachelspassagetoindia.blogspot.com/2011/12/snot-and-untold-stories.html
My Passage to India. Sunday, 11 December 2011. Snot and Untold Stories. Snot and Untold Stories" is the last essay in my collection which looks at what I learned about the Tibetan situation (and American situation) while I was in India. I have not received a lot of feedback on this essay yet, but am looking forward to some here in the near future. Promote Your ...

My Passage to India: Aurm and Palm Reading
http://rachelspassagetoindia.blogspot.com/2011/06/normal-0-false-false-false-en-us-x-none.html
My Passage to India. Monday, 6 June 2011. Aurm and Palm Reading. I met a gem of an informant last week. He fits nowhere in the skeleton plan I had for my travel essays, but somehow gets his own category as an “unforeseen character.” His name is Aurm, and he is a local shopkeeper from Nepal who sells traditional flutes to tourists. Don’t tell him that though. He hates being labeled as a “tourist hassle.”. You have all the drama you’ll ever need right here.”. This is what mine says. Apparently. He position...

My Passage to India: Project Proposal
http://rachelspassagetoindia.blogspot.com/p/project-proposal.html
My Passage to India. A Portrait of Dharamsala:. A Field Study Proposal to Explore the Universal Importance and Nature of Stories. Stories are an essential part of the human experience, both wonderful and terrifying in their possibilities. In order to understand this universal narrative, I want to write a creative project that encompasses two things. This second account will highlight some of the limitations of my own subjective experience abroad to better understand the fragile nature of stories. Eastern...
