Time management.Does that really exist for teachers? I'm beginning to feel that as much as I WANT to be completely organized and ahead of the game, I'm just constantly falling behind! My to-do list is miles long and I'm bothered that I can't ever seem to be ahead! And I look at my colleagues and wonder how they seem to have everything under control. Even THEY tell me that they struggle and STILL struggle with an ever-expanding list. So does time management actually exist in this world of teaching?

Teaching is making me a nervous person. Ha ha. As if I wasn't one already. So much to do.and not enough time or space or energy. I'm determined to get past the 3 year breaking point. I'm officially 11 pounds lighter than I was at Christmas, I'm going to bed earlier, getting up earlier, going to work earlier, running longer (up to 24 minutes now with relative ease), running faster (5 miles an hour on the treadmill! Eating better, and wearing "thinner" clothers. Yippee!

Over the past few months I have become more and more passionate about making cards. My friend Leah is partly to blame because of her amazing talent. In early February, I sat down and created the following cards, using some of my favourite sparkly/springy paper from Michael's. Food, glorious food. Here are some pictures from lunch on May 20. A couple of them look nearly professional! Crudités with Sesame Dip. Avocado and Sun-dried Tomato Crostini. Three varieties of Hummous an assortment of Crackers and Chips. Roasted Spiced Squash Soup and Spinach Pesto Bread. Vegetable Quiche, Seven-Vegetable Tagine and Saffron Couscous.
