Jacoby did quite well: he made five finals! He got 10th Best Shorthair in Premiership (twice), 7th Best Shorthair in Premiership, 2nd Best Shorthair in Premiership, and 2nd Best Allbreed in Premiership! And said we needed to come up with something to go with that. As great as our costume was, there were a lot.

Russell Webb is one of my favourite judges. Not only is he a lot of fun to watch – especially his finals – but he likes Jacoby. In fact, I think that Russell has never not used Jake in a final when he was judging – at least not yet (knock on wood). Even before Jake Granded, Russell named him 9th Best Cat in Premiership. I think he does.

I took a ton of photos at the cat show this past weekend, of Jacoby, of his cousin Instincts Columbia (who Meg nicknamed “Gumby”), and of the other cats. Russell Webb was Jake’s first ring of the weekend. Russell seems to like Jake, and generally uses him in his finals. At the show last weekend, Jacoby didn’t make a final until his last ring, and then Russell Webb named him Second Best Cat in Premiership. But it wasn’t the first time this happened.
