The Ranchers accumulated 2 hits through the first five innings as the Red Sox put up 4 hits. After a summer off, Zach Martin is returning to Manage the Ranchers for the 2016 summer. [ Coach Martin’s Bio. With Martin returning to take over as the Manager, George Sorenson will be the Ranchers bench and first base coach in 2016. Prior to 2015, Sorenson was a Rancher player and has shown an unparalleled commitment to The Ranch. He served admirably as the Manager in 2015 for a very young Homestead squad. For the last five years, he has coached in the Evanston travel organization.

Zach Martin originally co-founded the Homestead Ranchers in 2010, taking the roles of Assistant General Manager and Bench Coach. Under his tutelage, The Ranch secured a second place finish in the Skyscrapers Baseball League in 2011. He also assisted in placing multiple JUCO students with D1 programs. Martin has coached 250 collegiate athletes and multiple professionals, including 2nd round draft pick Charlie Tilson of the St. Louis Cardinals. He founded Zach Martin Baseball.
