Bass Harbor Head Light. Ferry - The CAT. Sieur de Monts Spring. Wild Gardens of Acadia. You cannot miss Eagle Lake. As you drive on Mount Desert Island. At 425 acres, it is the largest fresh water lake in Acadia National Park. An easy access point is along Route 233 which runs east-west along the northern edge of the lake. There are two parking areas, one on each side of the road. This is a picturesque spot as there is a stone bridge and a Carriage Road. Maximum depth: 110 feet. Average depth: 50 feet.

Has over 120 miles of hiking trails and paths that range from a category of very easy to strenuous. These varied and often interconnected trails combine with the Carriage Roads. Some fun Ladder Climbs on some short portions: The Bee Hive. Finish your hike dipping your feet in to The Bowl.
