Right-Click" My Computer and select "Manage". This brings up "Computer Management". The first tool in the console tree is the "event viewer". This is very useful when troubleshooting problems. It can provide a detailed inventory of your system - CPU Model, speed, memory, motherboard, etc. It's free and can be downloaded here. CPUID also makes "HW Monitor". It monitors,in real time, such vital measurements as CPU core voltages, fan speed and temperatures. Check it out here. Links to this post.
