John Paul Getty Reports. Access2Advice has delivered successful projects that help to ‘Break the Cycle of Re-offending’ for a number of years. This is achieved by addressing key issues outlined in the ‘Seven Pathways to Resettlement’ (Home Office 2004) which includes Education, Employment and Training; Finance, Debt and Benefits and Attitudes Thinking and Behaviour. Training in the prison is embedded and the existing provision consists of a theoretical policy/procedure training package delivered .

John Paul Getty Reports. Training in the prison is embedded and the existing provision consists of a theoretical policy/procedure training package delivered on-site at HMP Sudbury. The modules covered include telephone skills, professional boundaries, client confidentiality and data protection. A Certificate of Achievements is provided on completion which evidences the modules completed and the level of attainment. Telephone and IT Skills. A Certificate of Achievement is awarded at the end of the training.

John Paul Getty Reports. It’s something that I can add to my CV, I can say that I’ve been working for the time that I’m released. It’s been a really positive thing and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone else. Now for half of the week I’m downstairs mainly in the telephone room or doing face to face assessing and for the remaining half of the week I work as an administrator (paid employment) for the money wise and included team upstairs.

Training is delivered both inside and outside the gate and consists of vocational work-skills training and emotional intelligence training to improve pro-social skills. Access2Advice will develop their service to bridge the gap between Transforming Rehabilitation and NOMs ESF by offering integrated services that avoid duplication.
