Accidental Ambivalence

Thursday, December 02, 2010. Things I Love Thursday. Most weeks, I attempt to keep a running list of things that make me smile, but I've slacked this week. As such, this list may be.scattered, but here it is nonetheless. The nearest Starbucks to my home in Small Town is 80 miles away. This is distressing most days, but particularly problematic during the holiday season because I am obsessed. I kind of like her, so talking to her is happy-making. The best salad ever. Glitter and lights and smiles. Because...

Accidental Ambivalence: Truth Project: Four

http://accidentalambivalence.blogspot.com/2010/11/truth-project-four.html

Sunday, November 14, 2010. Something you have to forgive someone for. I could forgive the former friend who failed to tell me that she signed a lease on an apartment with someone else the week that my Grandma died, three weeks after Iris died. The same friend who was planning to room with me the next year, who I don't remember speaking to once since the day Iris died. I've let that go though, and now feel indifferent about her. Is it evil, or just a mark of true humanity? Posted by nicalyse @ 3:18 PM.

Accidental Ambivalence: Truth Project: Five

http://accidentalambivalence.blogspot.com/2010/11/truth-project-five.html

Sunday, November 21, 2010. Something you hope to do in your life. I kind of find this prompt absurd. Doesn't everyone have an enormous list of things they want to do and see and accomplish? Mundane, special, unrealistic, nearly inevitable, nearly impossible? Bestseller. I want to grow masses of tulips and hydrangeas. I want to decorate my house so that it looks like me. I want to be half as wonderful as my grandma was. Just half as wonderful would be enough. Posted by nicalyse @ 3:16 PM. Small Town, USA.

Accidental Ambivalence: June 2007

http://accidentalambivalence.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 25, 2007. I love the Postsecret blog. See, look, it's even in my blogroll. This particular secret, however, not only makes me angry, it hurts my heart. All I could think when I read it was how angry I would be if I found out someone did something so heinous to one of my babies - and then how I would go about repaying them for their disgusting act. I wonder if Puck and Marilyn know how much I love them. Posted by nicalyse @ 10:21 AM. Links to this post. Sunday, June 24, 2007. The smell of hic...

Accidental Ambivalence: February 2007

http://accidentalambivalence.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 13, 2007. Weekend Update Part Two: "Sure I'll Drink That! Be sure to read Part One first. Saturday was spent lying on the couch with Bradshaw, watching season two of Project Runway on DVD and chatting about what lazy bums we are. I finally showered and got ready for the party we were obligated to attend around seven, wearing my hair curly* with a ribbon headband and my shoulders bared. We left my apartment at around ten with intentions of being back around midnight. Before we knew it, t...

The Accidental Amazon

Life is what happens when we're making other plans. Published at: 09:03 am - Saturday, March 28, 2015. Sweetpea was asleep in my doll carriage when my mother announced, in mythic tones, that she had A Few Things to tell me. Sometime in the hours after I was born, she said, her doctor had told her that he believed I’d had a twin who didn’t make it. Something about the afterbirth, he said. It had not been, he thought, an identical twin. What was the point? How was I supposed to react to such information?

The Education of A Public Health Student | A Look Into My Journey

The Education of A Public Health Student. A Look Into My Journey. I just read an article on living organ donors. And it really got me thinking. You always hear of people becoming organ donors, but mostly donating once they die. But imagine a family member or someone close to you needing part of or a whole organ. Would you have the strength to step up and say yes, at any cost? Tags: Donate Life America. More on Haiti. My Take. Having a Bad Hair Day? Change: The Death of Us All. Our clients went ballistic!

The Accidental Anecdote

The musings of one more than slightly crazy Canadian chick. Thursday, September 20, 2007. You can find me, all my previous posts and all those yet to come over at:. Goodbye, Blogger, it's been fun! Posted by Dee G. at 7:24 PM. Definitely, a day where a crock of homemade New England clam chowder served with chunks of fresh, crusty bread was in order. A day where it would have been just as nice to stay inside, instead of being out running around. The clincher to the changing season? Ahoy, Me Hearty! Acquai...
