It's the little things: July 2011
http://littlediddlelittle.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 16, 2011. They are bigger than he is- they are boxers, after all. The dogs, Ariel and Packie, are well-behaved. They mostly like to hang out inside. They sleep and snore. But every now and then, they'll let you know they have to relieve some built-up energy. At that point, I'll take them for a walk or just play with them inside. It's soooo hot, so unfortunately, I don't let them outside too often or for too long. Sunday, July 10, 2011. Summer 2011, Part 3- Austin Time. Butler Park- this is...

It's the little things: A Saturday morning with Carmen Lomas Garza
http://littlediddlelittle.blogspot.com/2011/10/saturday-morning-with-carmen-lomas.html
Tuesday, October 25, 2011. A Saturday morning with Carmen Lomas Garza. The Mexican-American artist and writer. Sigh. I was not looking forward to it- I was just so tired. The tired part of me wanted to opt out, but the "responsible" part of me told the tired part that I had to go. When I arrived I was greeted with 2 free books, coffee, tamales, rice, beans, and empanadas. Not a bad start. Book signing and meeting Carmen Lomas Garza. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). It's the little things: June 2011
http://littlediddlelittle.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 13, 2011. If any of you were friends with me on Myspace (remember that? You might remember my "about me" section. Somewhere in there I mentioned that I'd like to meet Tyler Florence. The chef. There was a time in my life when I was a Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, and TLC junkie. I could watch these channels for hours. We no longer have these channels since we just have basic cable, so I don't know who the "in people" are now. But I. Friday, June 3, 2011. So, you know he was feeling rea...

It's the little things: I spy something yellow
http://littlediddlelittle.blogspot.com/2011/10/i-spy-something-yellow.html
Saturday, October 8, 2011. I spy something yellow. Lately our game in the car has been "I spy". Of course for us it's more like, "Yo veo algo." We play just like you would in English. Julio was just telling me that he and Elan were playing yesterday as they drove around town running errands. So, Julio says, "I spy something yellow." And Elan, very excitedly, shouts "the grass! It's the little things: Single Parenting is tough, but not impossible
http://littlediddlelittle.blogspot.com/2011/10/single-parenting-is-tough-but-not.html
Sunday, October 2, 2011. Single Parenting is tough, but not impossible. So, at the time that I am writing this, it has been almost 72 hours since Julio left on his mountain biking trip, but who's counting, right? So, that's how long I've been a temporary "single parent". So, my overall opinion on this experience is that single parenting is harder than co-parenting, but not an unbearable task. Here's a breakdown of the highs and lows. Saturday morning Elan woke up 6:00 am. Seriously? Elan ate very well be...

It's the little things: May 2011
http://littlediddlelittle.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Elan seems to be coming down with a cough. We had a rough night last night because he was obviously not feeling well. It's such a helpless feeling when you can't make them more comfortable. Of course, with little ones, medication has been a hot topic lately. Do you or don't you? The ceiling fan is immediately turned off. All Natural Cough Syrup-. Do you know of any home remedies that seem to work for coughs? Monday, May 30, 2011. Ohhh, Memorial Day! Although today is Memorial Day a...

Tuesday, October 4, 2011. That's it. Just a title and a picture. Enjoy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Austin, Texas, United States. I'm Larissa, but many call me Lari. I've been married to my husband, Julio, for six years. We have a 2 year old son, Elan, who keeps us very busy and who keeps each day fun and exciting. Although the struggles of everyday life- work, parenting, etc.- can wear on us, we wouldn't have it any other way. View my complete profile. Details From the Dechiros.

It's the little things: Move Shake Drop
http://littlediddlelittle.blogspot.com/2011/10/move-shake-drop.html
Thursday, October 20, 2011. The other night Elan and I went to get some smoothies from Jamba Juice and decided to enjoy the nice weather we've had lately in the evenings. We were hanging out outside when Julio got home and played some music for Elan. This is what happened next. I'll be honest, I hesitated posting this video, wondering what must people think about the music we're exposing Elan to, but in the end, it was just too funny to not share. It's the little things: September 2011
http://littlediddlelittle.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 22, 2011. Tough Love Takes on a Food Battle. So, about the food war (which I'm not sure will ever really be won). Everyday, we get a written report from his preschool (oh, yes, more on his preschool in another post) on how he did that day. On Monday, it said he ate very little of his lunch. We made a slight mention of it to him, but nothing noteworthy. And he ate it on his own and quickly! I thought I had succeeded in getting my point across. While I doubt our food war is over, tough ...
