The Accordion Association of Calgary will celebrate 25 years of promoting and supporting the accordion in Calgary and beyond. We are a group of teachers, parents, students, and accordion enthusiasts that enjoy the diversity and range an accordion brings to music. Celebrating over 25 years. Festival Schedule is available! June 25 and June 26 will feature competitive categories as well as performances and workshops. This year, we're hosting a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday June 26 starting at 10 am. Go to the Festival Page for details. At 11 am on Sunday, June 26, right after the pancake breakfast (around 12 pm), Penny is offering a Workshop for all interested people on performance techniques for the accordion. This workshop is FREE for those interested!

This year, our festival begins on Saturday June 25 at 9 am. All competitors are encouraged to arrive at the festival fully practiced and warmed up, and be prepared to play 15 minutes prior to when your scheduled category begins. Fredag 1. januar 2010. Nytt Trekkspill til jul! Som mangen av dere kanskje veit så var jeg i Castelfidardo siste uka i Mai-2009. Dette var en opplevelsestur sammen med trekkspillklubben som endte med kjøp av trekkspill. Vi var 4 stykker som kjøpte oss nye spill. Opp gjennom tidene har jeg prøvd mangen instrumenter, men har igrunn aldri funnet den rette lyden. Har t.o.m prøvd Supersix uten at det ga meg noe "whow-opplevelse". I LOVE THIS INSTRUMENT!
