Sometimes accountability is key. I think it’s time for a second challenge. November 15, 2013. Hi everyone. I’ve been doing really well with my water challenge – 9 cups a day and still going strong. Remember how I said I hadn’t noticed any overt benefits? Well after about a week of the challenge, my skin started clearing up a lot. My breakouts are more mild, and the tiny bumps I’ve had all over my forehead and cheeks (which i’d previously just chalked up to clogged pores) have gone away!

Sometimes accountability is key. Just a quick post. October 16, 2013. I’m off to brave the DMV today, so this will be quick. Yesterday I did well up until the end. I had a breakfast of one serving of soy-free chorizo (which, by the way, is hard to find! Apparently soy flour is a common filler? One medium brown egg, one egg white from the same, and half a zucchini with a sprinkle of Daiya cheddar. Sooooo tasty and filling. And then I had a Lee’s sandwich for dinner. By the way, the new exercise bike?

Sometimes accountability is key. January 29, 2014. My charts on FitBit are all messed up, and it took me a couple of weeks to sync the account with MFP, so no pretty chart here. After much deliberation, I ended up deciding to accept that my weight didn’t jump 4.4 pounds in just a few days, and that my actual first weigh-in since getting the Fitbit was 154.4. As of this morning, I weighed 149 even, which gives me a total loss of 5.4 pounds in one month. Could I have done better? On to the next four weeks.

Sometimes accountability is key. November 4, 2013. As predicted, I fell off the wagon with starting my new job. Like hard. I haven’t been monitoring what I eat… basically at all. So to work myself back up to giving a crap about what I eat and making sustainable long-term changes, my challenge to myself for this week is to drink 9 cups of water a day, minimum.
