http://knitonereadtwo.blogspot.com/2008/08/another-quick-catch-up.html
Knit One, Read Two. Monday, August 4, 2008. Another Quick Catch UP. WOW, over 3 months since I have made a post. Still reading and knitting just have not taken the time to journal about any of it. Since my last post I have read about 11 books and finished quite a few knitting projects. I will have to look and see how to post them in a journal post. A few of the books I have read are:. By Elie Wiesel (excellent),. By A M. Homes(disappointing),. Drunk divorced and Covered in Cat Hair. Books by TJ Baff.

Obsessors on the Run. A group of obsessed bookcrossers, from all parts of the globe. Ace and Hoser Blook. Reverse Scavenger Hunt 2007. What happens when 16 obsessers are in one room? Tuesday, July 24, 2007. What happens when 16 obsessers are in one room? This Columbus meetup brought Obsessers from near and far and good times were had by all. As well as pizza at one point. I only wish there had been more bargain books - though I was extremely happy to get an autographed copy of a wishlist book - The Ice D...

Sunday, March 01, 2015. REVIEW: Dragonflies: Magnificent Creatures of Water, Air, and Land by Pieter van Dokkum. 10 out of 10 stars. Describes a lot of the symbolism I've come to associate with dragonflies over the years. When I moved from Massachusetts to California, and made some major life changes in the process, I got a dragonfly tattoo on my ankle which spoke to me of these very same changes I was experiencing in my own life. But I digress. I think this would make a great coffee table book, the pict...

Monday, March 30, 2015. REVIEW: The Witch of Painted Sorrows by M.J. Rose. 6 out of 10 stars. It's 1894 and twenty-five year old Sandrine Salome has just arrived at her grandmother's house in Paris, fleeing an abusive husband in New York who she believes also had a hand in her father's death. So I couldn't really connect to her. I actually felt sorry for her love interest, Julien, and was hoping he'd be smart enough to get away from her. And that is why, despite my earlier criticisms about the main chara...

Thursday, January 29, 2015. REVIEW: The Demon Catchers of Milan by Kat Beyer. 8 out of 10 stars. This was a fun book. I enjoyed experiencing the culture of Milan through Mia's eyes, and the descriptions depicted by the author were lush and vivid, totally immersing me in the story. In addition to a great sense of place, the author also did a wonderful job with the characters. All the major players were done so well I could picture them strolling through the streets of Milan by my side. 5 out of 10 stars.
