The Opies: Family Food: Thermomix
http://opiefamilyfood.blogspot.com/p/thermomix.html
You'll notice that most of my recipes cater for the use of a Thermomix. This machine has changed the way I cook and how much I cook. My husband has commented a few times that the quality and variety of our food has increased, and he's loving it. I love it! I make all our breads (including rolls, baguettes, pizza bases, wraps and tortillas), condiments, sauces, dressings, cake and muffin mixes, ice cream mixture, rice, mashed potato, baby food and most of our main meals. http://opiefamilyfood.blogspot.com/2011/04/mediterranean-pull-apart.html
Thursday, April 7, 2011. I needed bread. I had sundried tomatoes, olives and basil in the fridge which required my attention. I have wanted to make a pull apart for some time. As my 2 year old son says."ta da"! Make Isi's Portuguese Rolls. Add 50g butter and melt all together for 5 minutes at 50ºC on speed 2. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle (the more rectangular the better, unlike my example) and spread with the paste. Place in a preheated oven (220ºC) and immediately reduce the temp to 200ºC (...

The Opies: Family Food: A Round Up of sorts...and a quiche and a salsa
http://opiefamilyfood.blogspot.com/2011/05/round-up-of-sortsand-quiche-and-salsa.html
Saturday, May 14, 2011. A Round Up of sorts.and a quiche and a salsa. I have been meaning to do a couple of retrospective posts to update you on what Thermie has been up to the past few weeks. Instead, I'll just do a bit of a summary here and then provide a quiche recipe from earlier this week. But Thermie makes it oh so easy, and chocolate eclairs or profiteroles will probably be my go to dessert when something a little special is required. In fact, I'm inspired to attempt a croquembouche one day! Chedd...

The Opies: Family Food: Making Pomegranate Juice
http://opiefamilyfood.blogspot.com/2012/04/making-pomegranate-juice.html
Friday, April 6, 2012. I examined a few of the split ones and decided that as I couldn't see any signs of vermin or insect attack, I would juice them and see how I went. It's a somewhat time consuming process, but the result is a lovely jewel coloured elixir that I love! Grams water, approximately. 1 Place enough water in the sink to cover a pomegranate. Score a pomegranate just through the skin as if to cut it in quarters. Under water (to. Blend for 30 seconds on speed 9. April 7, 2012 at 12:14 PM.

http://opiefamilyfood.blogspot.com/2012/08/healthy-apricot-balls.html
Monday, August 27, 2012. Well, hello blog. I'm sorry I haven't had much time for you lately. It's not that you don't mean anything to me, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to spend as much time with you as I'd like. Life sure can be hectic with two little boys running around under my feet and other commitments of my own. I don't know about you, but I cannot seem to achieve all that I want to achieve during any given day. It's so frustrating. Anyway, back to the point of this post, Apricot Balls....

The Opies: Family Food: Apricot & Muesli Balls
http://opiefamilyfood.blogspot.com/2011/03/apricot-muesli-balls.html
Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Apricot and Muesli Balls. I have had this recipe on my "to convert" list for such a long time. It's really such an easy recipe I'm not sure why it took me so long, however, I got to it today. It's a great sweetener-free recipe - no sugar, no honey, no sweetened condensed milk. It uses partially reconstituted dried apricots for sweetness and for binding. The original recipe is from Good Taste magazine. Dried apple (mmm, imagine an apricot and apple crumble version of this).
