Acknowledging our Savior

Proverbs 3:5-6 Luke 12:8-12. Wednesday, March 19, 2014. That being said, one of the great remaining treasure fields full of surprises and weighty passages is the Old Testament. Let’s be honest, most of the prophets and more obscure writings are hardly read by most, including myself. However, there is as much gospel there, albeit unrealized, as there is in our favorite Epistle or Gospel. I recently uncovered one of these amazing treasures in the book of Ezekiel. So I trudged through the passage trying to ...

Acknowledging our Savior: Scattering and Gathering

http://acknowledgingoursavior.blogspot.com/2013/02/scattering-and-gathering.html

Proverbs 3:5-6 Luke 12:8-12. Sunday, February 24, 2013. From the very beginning, God has given us a mission to fill the earth with his glory. To our father Adam, he gave the command to take what was in the garden in Eden and fill the earth with it. "And God blessed them. And God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it." (Genesis 1:28) So what was in the garden in Eden? Lest we be dispersed. God scatters so that He might gather. As I read this, I cannot help but think of P...

Proverbs 3:5-6 Luke 12:8-12. Monday, March 5, 2012. I think if I were to claim a life verse, it would be the following:. For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for Him who for their sake died and was raised.' -2 Corinthians 5:14-15. We need more people in the church who have been with Jesus, not more volunteers and loud singers. We need more...

Acknowledging our Savior: Domestication

http://acknowledgingoursavior.blogspot.com/2010/09/domestication.html

Proverbs 3:5-6 Luke 12:8-12. Sunday, September 19, 2010. So, Mom and Dad helped me pick out furniture and decorations for my apartment this weekend. I wish you could have been a fly on the wall of not only the three of us, but also the three of our minds the past couple of days. I will try to portray each member separately and then give you a glimpse into the interactions of all three of us. God help me to be thankful when life is good and when it is difficult. Help me to be a blessing to others with...

Acknowledging our Savior: Just Thinking

http://acknowledgingoursavior.blogspot.com/2010/10/just-thinking.html

Proverbs 3:5-6 Luke 12:8-12. Thursday, October 28, 2010. How could God use that? Is it something that I want? Do I want the burden of having that much? Would this be the best way for me to glorify God? I know that God will use me no matter what, but is this my path? Talent, Organization, Passions. What are my passions? Can I be in the oil industry and have the Kingdom impact that I want to? October 29, 2010 at 8:48 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Voice of the Martyrs.

Acknowledging our Savior: Quick Update

http://acknowledgingoursavior.blogspot.com/2013/02/quick-update.html

Proverbs 3:5-6 Luke 12:8-12. Wednesday, February 13, 2013. I wanted to quickly update you on what God is doing in my life in Louisville. Pray for our efforts in reaching our Hispanic neighbors with a newly hired Hispanic minister. Pray for our Pastor, Scott Lamb, and his family while pastoring a church in a tough environment. Pray a prayer of thanks to God for providing finances and pray for continued support of others so that I can do both school and missions. I hope you and your families are well!

Sunday, February 27, 2011. Addison, excited about getting to go outside with her daddy (even though the wind was blowing like crazy). Watching daddy change the oil in his truck. Hanging out in her little car. Playing with a piece of daddy's air compressor. Look how much she loves her daddy! Belly pic at 25 weeks. 13 1/2 inches, 1 1/2 lbs. (according to the website). Knit Together: August 2010

http://knittogetherblog.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 25, 2010. We celebrated Addison's birthday last Saturday with a fun little party at our house with a couple of her little friends from church, and some family. It was such a blessing to have so many people come and love on our little girl. Addison's friends and family at the party. The cake table with cake made by my sister-in-law, Gabi, and polka dot party favors (pink watermelon sours and green gumballs). How cute is this cake! Addison's adorable smash cake. Loving on my birthday girl.

Knit Together: May 2010

http://knittogetherblog.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 22, 2010. May 9th was not only special because it was my first Mother's Day (with a baby in my arms, rather than in my tummy), it was special because it was also baby dedication at our church. I love being a mommy and couldn't ask for a better job, or a more amazing daughter! Headed to church. I feel like Addison is thinking, "I can tell this is going to be a long day! With my parents at Addison's dedication - Addison is realizing the full extent of that long day. Taking Down the Swing.

Acknowledging His Grace

Saturday, 7 January 2012. Let Me sing you a song. The title may sound weird but it brought warmth to my heart as Paul shares the story with me. It's the same with God's love for us. No matter how much we may complain about our lives, grumble, or whine, our Heavenly Father who loves us more then anything else is really patient and singing this song to us wooing and courting us. I pray that I can live my life constantly asking God to sing me that song. Lord I love you and miss you. Sunday, 1 January 2012.

Acknowledging His Hand

Before I would write, I would ponder this question: Have I seen the hand of God reaching out to touch us or our children or our family today? Thursday, December 11, 2014. FYI: I use pseudo names for those on my blog. I do this for 2 reasons: 1) It makes it fun for me, and 2) I like to think it leaves me with a little privacy while having a public blog. You can learn more about my family and our pseudo names on the about me. Wendy had her first basketball game last week and they won (25 to 8)! If you noti...
