Wednesday, November 19, 2008. I know I haven't been around. Things have been.crazy. Last week- for the WHOLE week- I dealt with a stomach bug that hit my oldest. It pretty much stayed with him the whole week. Next, my five year old got sick.the day we were supposed to leave to visit family. That same day, the youngest got sick. I spent the entire week up to my elbows in. I've done so much laundry- the piles of waiting-to-be-folded clothes teeter in their baskets, threatening to topple. Links to this post.

I've decided the mermaid needs to be bigger. There are lots of smaller pieces on her, and it just won't translate well onto fabric, soooo. I'm just going to enlarge her- just a bit! Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Here is a recipe- well, really, it's just a how-to- for poke cake. 1 box Strawberry flavored cake mix. 1 box lime jello. 3 tbsp salted butter. 2 tbsp strawberry preserves. Ingredients called for by cake mix box- depending on your brand, this might be different. 1) Bake cake according to directions. Monday, March 8, 2010. Casey's Last at Bat. Rehearsal for the upcoming Poggie gig are ongoing. It's good to get back together after the break, but we're saddened by the news that Casey is moving on to other pastures, so this will be his last act with A Close Second. This means we're going to take a bit more time to reconfigure, and see where the rest of us want to go with this thing we've created. Change is good, so it's another opportunity for us. I have a soft spot for both these artists and tend to be more partial when listening to their tracks and don't disregard them too quickly. This track, made my day!
