the adventures of ander and zaza: Included
http://anderandzaza.blogspot.com/2013/11/included.html
Monday, November 11, 2013. I did not want Zaza to cramp Ander's style on his post-THOR-screening "free range 'playdate'" at the Grove, but the big girls (who do not have younger siblings) WANTED her, and BEGGED and PLEADED to keep her, and made PUPPY EYES, and she so wanted to be included, and so I relented. All while I sat at Starbucks and browsed in the bookstore and the fancy dress shop. Never has there been a happier 9 year-old. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. We have been and are ridiculously busy. They both nag me (daily! To catch up over here in ander-and-zaza-land, and yet. They - still and constantly - want my face pointed at them. the adventures of ander and zaza: Pixie
http://anderandzaza.blogspot.com/2013/06/pixie.html
Sunday, June 30, 2013. She has begged for a month to get a pixie cut. She was tired of being hot. She was tired of hair flopping into her eyes when she ran. She was tired of fussing with barrettes. But I wanted to make sure it wasn't a whim. And I suppose I needed time to convince myself and Ander and Dubbadad that it IS her hair. To buy some time, I bargained with her (all the while assuring her that even if she was bald. It was a super-cute haircut. We celebrated at the cafe around the corner. So yeste...

the adventures of ander and zaza: It Continues to Surprise Me
http://anderandzaza.blogspot.com/2013/09/it-continues-to-surprise-me.html
Saturday, September 14, 2013. It Continues to Surprise Me. That nowadays I can say, "We will be leaving for Grandma and Poppy's house in an hour, so you might want to shower," and then -. Showers are actually taken! Teeth are brushed, and hair is tidied! Spiffy outfits befitting an at-home-and-very-Reform Yom Kippur break-fast are chosen, and put on, and accessorized! And I am blindsided. I walk down the hall - all ready to nudge and nag and help the wee children - and am so so so stunned. As Close As Th...

the adventures of ander and zaza: New Haircut (More Tatou Than Hepburn, and 100% 'Za)
http://anderandzaza.blogspot.com/2011/03/new-haircut-more-tatou-than-hepburn-and.html
Sunday, March 13, 2011. New Haircut (More Tatou Than Hepburn, and 100% 'Za). Up to my cheeks". Not in the way when I run or draw". This is its curliest, post-spritz-of-water form. (Today it was more tousled and piece-y, and the bangs were spiky.). That is just darling! My daughter is forever trying to straighten her curls, drives me batty. So nice to have a short cut when it gets hot out, better for swimming weather too. What a wonderful feeling to have a good hair cut. It was in the 60s here today, and ...

and mimsy makes five: What We've Been Doing This Summer: Saying Goodbye
http://andmimsymakesfive.blogspot.com/2011/08/what-weve-been-doing-this-summer-saying.html
And mimsy makes five. Monday, August 15, 2011. What We've Been Doing This Summer: Saying Goodbye. It hasn't been all giggles around here this summer. Yesterday Scott, Deb, Aidan, and Mac packed up everything they own into this moving truck and rolled three hours eastward. The title of this post isn't entirely truthful, though. It really is "See you later" rather than "Goodbye," a certainty that gives the kids a lot of comfort. Good-byes just suck. Thats all. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

and mimsy makes five: A Party to Make Bill Nye Proud
http://andmimsymakesfive.blogspot.com/2010/05/party-to-make-bill-nye-proud.html
And mimsy makes five. Tuesday, May 18, 2010. A Party to Make Bill Nye Proud. Last Saturday was Maren's science-themed birthday party. She loves all things scientific and knew that we could have some pretty great activities, so we went for it with gusto! The mad scientist herself greeted guests. Even more exciting was the chance to make their own bubble wands that blew gigantic. Bubbles. Check out Maren's huge bubble worm thing up there! It looks like such a fun party! I hope you all had a great time.

the adventures of ander and zaza: Sometimes Monday Requires War Paint
http://anderandzaza.blogspot.com/2013/04/sometimes-monday-requires-war-paint.html
Monday, April 15, 2013. Sometimes Monday Requires War Paint. She asked me to wake her up early so we could do this: five colors, two fingers in each color. Now that it is finally blue and bright out in the morning, we have also been getting up early to try some of the fancier hair-dos in this book. Squeezing this extra (sometimes ONLY) just-the-two-of-us time into our days has been.mood-enhancing? Yes, all of that, I think. For us both. There are days where I fret about disappointing her, about damaging.
