From my father's library: educational! Exorcism for a Midsummer's Night. Gather we now the dying light to mourn.

When the Ring Swings Forward. Growing up on the combined set of "Ordinary People", "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", and "Gaslight". Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Why the title of this blog is "When the Ring Swings Forward.". First off, while I am a big reader of fiction, I'm not a huge fan of "The Lord of the Rings" novels. When the Ring Swings Forward. Growing up on the combined set of "Ordinary People", "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", and "Gaslight". Tuesday, November 1, 2011. October 9, 1988. I was going through one of my closets recently, and I found this letter I sent to my mother twenty-three years ago:. Street I used to live on. City I used to live in. State I used to live in. October 9, 1988. When I was eleven years old, I took a copy of Haim Ginott's Between Parent and Teenager. And Between Parent and Child.

The daughter of a narcissistic mother finally recognizes the damage done . at age 40. August 18, 2006. I felt something just abruptly *snap* inside me. After putting in hours and days worth of planning and driving and coordinating and compromising my students and putting up with a houseguest from hell for six weeks, NOW she's going back on our deal, despite the fact that her reason was "I'm just not gonna"? house of bonsai: mission accomplished
http://houseofbonsai.blogspot.com/2006/11/mission-accomplished.html
The daughter of a narcissistic mother finally recognizes the damage done . at age 40. November 24, 2006. Rob and I had a beautiful wedding on Saturday. I'd had my doubts about having it at the school, simply because it seemed odd to get married where one works, but it was nothing short of wonderful. Rob, of course, loves the school so much that he more or less insisted, too! My students all chipped in with some work and made it happen, following my to-do lists for each of them to a T. Line in the sand.
