How much do you charge? The fee charged is directly proportional to the travelling involved and the performance time. Typically fees could be between 250 for a very local (i.e. no travel) one hour performance through to 1000 for a New Year’s Eve event in Chelmsford. The one certainty is that The Mays always offer professionalism, commitment and value for money for every booking! It’s probably best to call or email to discuss your requirements and we can work within your budget. Do you require a deposit?

Originating from rural South East Essex, The Mays are currently a four piece band and were formed by members of The May family over 30 years ago. The current line-up includes two brothers from the original band - Julian. Houghton, their brother-in-law, has now been playing with the band for just over a year and a half. Julian May: Lead Guitar and Main Vocalist. Julian is one of the original founding members of The Mays formally known as 'Four-May-Shun' starting out in 1975. He has many influences, but it has to be said that local band 'T Bone Steak’ formed the basis of the music he would go on to perform with his brothers.
