Stilettos & a fishing pole: 06.2012

Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Today officially starts my birthday week! This is something Aaron never understands but since my birthdate falls three days before a holiday, Independance Day it's only fair that I get to stretch it out. However, July 4th falls on a Wednesday this year, so I'm pretty sure It's gonna last until the following weekend. Makes sense, right? I love celebrating birthdays. Whether it's mine or yours. I think they are special & no matter. Who make me happiest - making memories together.

Tomorrow the other 1st grade teacher's and I are performing this in front of the entire school for outr"Northiside's Got Talent" Show. I'll start with last Friday ...

My Life as a "D": Rome
http://www.mylifeasad.com/2012/07/rome.html
We ended our trip in Rome for 5 days. There is so much to see in Rome and we did it all. We ate, toured, ate, shopped, ate! We stayed at the Hotel Memphis which was my favorite hotel of the trip. It was very modern and was right near the center of the city. We did ALOT of walking, no one wants to drive in Rome with those crazy drivers! View from the Spanish Steps. If you throw in a coin, you will go back to Rome! My camera was not cooperating at the Vatican, so unfortunately I only have a few photos.

Stop number 2 on our trip was a quick two day stay in Florence. We traveled from Venice to Florence by train, which I have to admit I was not looking forward to the train situation but was plesantly surprised. The train had air conditioning (which if you have been to Italy, doesn't happen bery often! The seats were more comfy than the plane, AND it even had a plug for my Ipad, score! We had a smooth eight and a half hour flight to Rome, then jumped right on the train to Venice. Once in Venice we we o...

And for "Mimi's" Birthday. Mimi is what Max calls Lisa, my step mom. They had a little get together at their house to celebrate. We always have fun when we get together with Lisa's family. I am guessing this is around 1989? Why my Mom thought these were professional photo worthy outfits.who knows? XOXO, Love Gus.

My Life as a "D": A Baby Story
http://www.mylifeasad.com/2013/03/a-baby-story.html
When I last posted (. About our trip to Italy I left out one small souvenir that we brought home. Two days after we got home I wasn't feeling "right", so I took a test and there was the faintest pink line. This was at about 5:30am. I didn't say anything to Gabe because I wanted to go get a better test. Target doesn't open until 10:00! Talk about a long few hours. I took the test that morning and saw this. So what's the first thing I do? And about 50 more that look like this. I took a test each morning an...
