smoothed stones: December 2013
http://smoothedstones.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
How lucky we were! Monday, December 23, 2013. And so I do. Soaked and . . . we could have groused or we could have laughed. It is the ability to chose laughter that seems to be the miracle. I am present and grateful. My heart is full and I rejoice in finding joy that has no payment up front or to come. But the thinking, planning and doing is such food for consolidation and movement. The process is a gift to my now, providing a frame for this joyful Christmas. And I will say once more, now has be in joy.

How lucky we were! Saturday, July 27, 2013. Today, the answer to why I have a practice is that it helps me stop the downward spiral and allows me to remember that the practice is the coming back to center over and over. And over. It has seen me through the long dark tunnel of grieving and my first tentative steps towards some right livelihood. It is a wonderful name but I want to begin with something fresh and unburdened. A few nights ago I wrote: "H ow lucky we were! Smoothed stones - the blog. I'll post pictures on.

How lucky we were! Sunday, May 26, 2013. There is change. For both of us. Friday, May 24, 2013. Trying hard to get home. We had breakfast in the airport before we could check into out rescheduled flight, and then lunch post-security when the flight was delayed the first time. Julia ate a personal pizza which will keep her for awhile. I had a very small bean salad which was meant to be a snack until we got home. Is there a way to be here mindfully? Update: rescheduled again for 4:20 and our number increas...
