Celebrating World Down Syndrome Day. The celebration of World Down Syndrome has come a long way in the seven years since it was first observed in 2006. Last year the day was formally acknowledged by the United Nations, and a conference was held at UN headquarters in New York on 21 March 2012. Its success has led to the announcement by Down Syndrome International. That the World Down Syndrome Day Conference will once again take place on 21 March 2013 in New York, USA. Will be screened during the day.
