Saturday, April 28, 2012. I don't actually have a three day weekend; I did a 13 hour day yesterday and will be back on Monday. But I took 5 students on an 8 hour round-trip to see a show. I loved it. It did NOT feel like work. It was an outing with people I got to know much better and hopefully will have better relationships with. All I can say is, having the chance to have that day is something I am honoured to have in my job. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. It kind of made sense. We are still a Commonwe...

Thursday, July 7, 2011. I have an excited buzz in my stomach thinking about the new Torchwood series. Jack Harkness. and his total lack of stress over his sexuality. Rhys Williams and his cluelessness. and his loyalty. And up to date British TV? But I get a sad feeling thinking that Ianto is no longer in the series. And I get a frustrated feeling when not one free-to-air TV channel picked it up. Only on Austar. Grrr. Without actually saying any of that. I always say it's like that adage of 'forgetting la...

Saturday, April 26, 2014. I can't imagine anyone even checks this blog anymore; I know I tend to give up on a blog after about 3 months without posting, but hey! Well, I've fallen madly in love with a man from the land in my small town. So, I live on a farm. Not really "on the farm" though, I still work in town 5 days a week, so am not as involved as I probably should be, but if I'm around and there's mustering or branding or whatever on, I join in. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. I love getting my photo taken normally. I feel like people actually care when they decide to take a memory of me. I hate looking at them though. It reminds me of how ugly I've allowed myself to be. Gross and disgusting. So, when my sisters and I banded together and bought Mum a professional shoot of the four of us (three girls, one mum) I was horrified. Monday, June 27, 2011. I've survived six months at the same school! I am so happy. :). I've got permanency and I know I'm going b...
