Tuesday, January 31, 2006. My New Love: DVR. I have friends who've had Tivo or DVR for years. It sounded interesting, but I didn't figure I watched enough TV to warrant the investment. After seeing DVR in action at my sister's house, I realized the immense power of this technology. When I learned it would add just $6 per month to my cable bill, I was hooked. I've only had this wonderful service for days, but I've already fallen in love with it! Posted by Adrienne Moch at 2:50 PM. I'm a sports fan. Th...

Wednesday, April 12, 2006. A Day for Celebration. Posted by Adrienne Moch at 2:25 PM. Sunday, April 02, 2006. One of the ways I typically spot this fraud is by noticing typos that I assume no reputable company would let slip by. Posted by Adrienne Moch at 5:59 PM. View my complete profile.

Wednesday, December 28, 2005. It stands to reason that anyone who writes for a living has a number of pet peeves regarding others' use of the English language. One on my long list is the common misuse of "that" instead of "who." Here are two examples from items I saw recently on the Internet:. Brian Gionta is one of the 12 Americans that will make their Olympic debuts.". For people that love the movies.". Since when are people "thats"? You wouldn't ask "that's there? Sunday, March 26, 2006. Whatever happened to common courtesy? Why is it that so many people do not respond to e-mails? Posted by Adrienne Moch at 5:41 PM. Saturday, March 04, 2006. I've been getting a lot of phishing e-mails recently, communications that seem like they are from organizations I associate with.but really aren't. Some of them are so clever that you have to keep your wits about you to not respond to them, and then there are those that are clearly fakes. Also, don't phish; it's illegal. A...

After my parents moved to Florida in 1990, our family gathering moved to the Sunshine State, where it took a while for it to feel "right." After years of equating the holiday of thanks with cold weather, bringing palm trees and heat into the mix seemed odd, but we ultimately got used to it. On Friday it snowed, and it was beautiful.
