Learning 4 Fun!: October 2014
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. Fall Memory Game {freebie}. I love fall games and easy printables! Makes for a fun Halloween celebration without the spookies! Here are some memory cards- download. And print 2 copies (on cardstock). After playing several rounds of playing the traditional memory game, Carter and I decided to switch it up for a NEW game: Using ONE set of the cards, lay down all the cards face up except for one. Learning 4 Fun!: September 2010
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Such a simple game, I just realized it was one I could teach Eli to practice "which number is higher" idea! If you're not familiar with it, you can read the general rules of the game HERE. We played with three players and even four would be good, vs only two players. He caught right on, even with the Jack-Queen-King thing. Ace was a little tricky to remember, but whatever. Fun was had! Though we did play for only awhile {not completion. IS there completion to that game?

Learning 4 Fun!: Lions at Lunchtime
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2012/09/lions-at-lunchtime.html
Saturday, September 29, 2012. We read through the book all at once so it was a bit much to go through these review questions. All in one sitting but there were some good ones in there, some including family discussion like. Tell about a time you and another person worked together. Tell about a time you felt frightened of something. Have you ever heard about an animal helping a person? The word matches I did out loud and gave the kids a few choices to pick from. They did very well with it.

Learning 4 Fun!: April 2011
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 19, 2011. The kids and I made a Wordless Lapbook, using most of our ideas from Just Call Me Jamin. But we changed it up a little bit, added a few things, and gave it our own twist! It's a pretty simple one. Here's the inside view. I arranged the mini color books so they'd form the shape of a cross (obviously you can see that there) Our booklets are made like Only a Boy blog. Minus the drawn pictures) but the text is the same as Jamin's. And we added the little poem from Only a Boy. Then as...

Learning 4 Fun!: July 2011
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 5, 2011. I pieced this lapbook together mostly from my own ideas, but you can find lots more grocery lapbook ideas here. This is my favorite lapbook we've done so far, and is the most do-again and game-like. The kids love it and I'm confident they are learning so much! To gain understanding that food does REAL things for our body, we don't just. Eat food because it tastes good. To build money skills in how to read $ amounts and figure numerical order. 2 Sort food cards according to color.

Learning 4 Fun!: The Wind in the Willows
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-wind-in-willows.html
Wednesday, September 19, 2012. The Wind in the Willows. This one took us awhile. The language was difficult. Many words I. Aside from the wordy language the one other thing I disliked about the book was the frequent usage of the A-S-S word, in actual context like "stop being such an #&*" and I sometimes struggled to find a different word to replace it with on the spot. lol. Would maybe recommend for slightly older kids. In Light of the Truth. November 20, 2015 at 1:24 PM. November 20, 2015 at 1:25 PM.

Learning 4 Fun!: June 2011
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 2, 2011. I stink at drawing! Working on a lapbook here I was trying to draw a boy. I couldn't find a clipart for what I wanted but I did find a good face to use, so I thought I could trace the face and draw the body myself. Wrong. The head, just changed the hat to hair and didn't include the baseball strips on the cheeks. Flipped the paper and then traced the arm but drew the hand so it was more like a fist. All that turned into. Stay tuned to find out what project we used this boy for!

Learning 4 Fun!: Pippi Longstocking
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2012/09/pippi-longstocking.html
Saturday, September 29, 2012. People have been dressing up like Pippi for Halloween for YEARS, but I didn't actually know her character, and boy, is she fun! Her mother died when she was young and her father got lost at sea, so Pippi now lives on her own in a small house called Villa Villakulla. She becomes fast friends with the neighbor kids, Tommy and Annika, and with them she has many silly adventures! Hannah colored this Pippi coloring page. According to the descriptions given in the book.
