Gungahlin Rural Fire Brigade. Convoy for Kids with Cancer, 2 Feb. 2013. GUN10, GUN11C, GUN30 and GUN31, along with 25 other RFS vehicles, again turned out for the 2013 Convoy For Kids With Cancer. In 2010, the Wattle Association donated funds raised as part of their Wattle Day celebrations on September 1 to the Volunteer Brigades Association (VBA). In 2011, the Wattle Association are again supporting the VBA, with funds raised being used to purchase Automatic External Defibrilators (AED’s) which will be fitted to all Command vehicles within the A.C.T RFS fleet. The Gungahlin Rural Fire Brigade commits to a variety of activities within the community, including school fetes, fundraising activities and general bush fire awareness campaigns. The nature of volunteering and operational requirements mean that the brigade cannot commit to all requests asked of it, however every effort to support our community is made where possible.
