Life Through My Eyes: July 2014
http://sdeppen.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Pieces of My [summer] Story. About learning oneness as a way of understanding God. You and I, and one story alone. God has established the elements, the setting and the climax and the resolution. It would be a crime not to venture out, wouldn't it? It might be time for you to go. It might be time to change, to shine out. Donald Miller in Through Painted Deserts. Camping the other weekend - so much fun and so many laughs! I love camping here! Okay, I won't! Got to visit Kelly....

Life Through My Eyes: March 2015
http://sdeppen.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 15, 2015. But first, these last few months. Traveled to the cold, cold North to see these sweet ladies. It was such a fun time and they were such great hostesses. While in Canada, we tried out a Caribbean restaurant, the Rainbow. Curry chicken, rice, plantain, fig, and salad took me back to the good ol' Grenada days. So I got inspired to cook a pot of Grenadian oildown.believe me, it tastes better than it looks! She looks so sweet.but looks can be deceiving! Aaaahhhh.finally I found her.
Life Through My Eyes: June 2014

Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Here's to waving at summer as it flies by! Finally got the whole bedroom suit (mostly) done. I used Miss Mustard Seed's chalk paint. It comes in a powder form and you mix it with water to make the paint. It's used a lot for the rustic looking furniture, because it chips off well, until you put a finishing coat on it. Let's just say I'm glad that project is finished! Gluten free pizza. (It looks better than it tastes. I'll have to keep experimenting! Started off nice and clean.

Monday, July 8, 2013. And then there was one. Said goodbye to these little cuties on Friday.sniff, sniff. And then these pretty ladies went and left too. We went around the island with some of the youth that have been attending church and youth group activities regularly. About 17 of us packed in the bus at 7:30 Saturday morning and traveled over twisty, hilly roads, to see what we could see. Toni and Alicia - I'm gonna miss these girls! And yes, I do realize they make me look quite short). Celebrating t...

Saturday, January 11, 2014. I don't think that I got my camera out for a month or two, unfortunately. It makes it difficult to blog without any pictures! So I'll just "borrow" a few from here and there. We had an ugly sweater party! I finally found something I'm good at! Justine, Kelly, me, and Ashley. All of us.in all of our ugly-sweater-glory! The unofficial winners (I think! Of the diy sweaters, anyway. This party was also a fondue party - so, so good! And last but not least.ice cream cake. Traveling,...

Wednesday, May 28, 2014. The Sin of Omission. By Margaret E. Sangster. It isn't the thing you do, dear,. It's the thing you leave undone. That gives you a bit of a heartache. At setting of the sun. The tender word forgotten,. The letter you did not write,. The flowers you did not send, dear,. Are your haunting ghosts at night. The stone you might have lifted. Out of a brother's way;. The bit of heartsome counsel. You were hurried too much to say;. The loving touch of hand, dear,. The gentle, winning tone.
Life Through My Eyes: April 2014

Saturday, April 12, 2014. Spring Break in Grenada. It was such a good, good trip and a welcomed break from school! I almost thought I wouldn't be able to go, but with the help of air miles from my dear parents, I went! I loved seeing everybody again. It almost felt like I had never left! The day after I got there we hiked Mt. St. Catherine, my 3rd time! Although you can't really see it, we got pretty muddy! Got to see sweet, little Caleb for the first time. The beach looked as beautiful as ever! I filled...
Life Through My Eyes: September 2014
http://sdeppen.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 21, 2014. This little girl surprised me with her bravery! I think she might be a natural horsewoman. Fall is almost here, and surprisingly, I'm getting excited! Not quite sure about seeing snow yet though. He finally posed for me. I was trying to capture those adorable freckles! If this picture is blurry, it's because I don't think she ever stops moving! For a short weekend away, I went with some friends to Philly. It had been years. Eastern State Penitentiary was a favorite stop! We al...

However, after reading a bunch.

The Adventures of a Curious Kat
Sunday, March 15, 2015. I have officially joined the Snippet Roll craze they are so much fun to make! This one is about 90% finished, I just want to add some hand stitching around the girls, and embellish a bit more. That's the fun of these, it's very spontaneous; I just glued and stitched stuff down as I went. Most of the girls I just found on the web and printed on fabric sheets, easy peasy. Some of it was from etsy or Flights of Fancy boutique (on the web). Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Thanks goes to ...

Life as a Curious Katie. I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious. – Albert Einstein. Baby Holl #2: 20 Week Update. So I missed a week. Not because I didn’t want to update, but this past week has been pretty rough (I’ll explain later) and I was just not in the mood for photos. So we’re skipping ahead to 20 weeks! 20 weeks, 2 days. Breakfast food, fruit, sweets. I’m going to try to be good this week in regards to food choices as I’ve kind of let myself go. How can we compete with that?

I cry for you, or my memory of you! After nearly five years of marriage I didn’t think I needed any further confirmation that my husband and I are polar opposites. This trip, however, has proven that we are officially from different planets! The missing puzzle piece. I was 22 when I found myself in Cambodia feeling overwhelmed and more...

A Curious Little Blog
A Curious Little Blog. In which I blog about curious things that strike me, in the hope of piquing your curiousity. Also, perhaps, of getting some feedback on things that I can't figure out. Sunday, March 15, 2015. If you follow politics at all, you have probably heard people complain that our political discourse has become dangerously rude and argumentative. Whether this is actually true is open to question; at least members of Congress haven't started beating each other senseless. Perhaps, even if your...
