Saturday, August 1, 2015. So this is why we went to Portland. But she wasn't the racer. Sarah had this t-shirt made for Eric for Father's Day. This was some of the track. On the one hand I was glad to see them take precautions and put up hay bales for safety. On the other hand it was a little unsettling that they put hay bales up for safety. Once at the bottom of the hill, they would load up all the competitors and give them a lift to the top again for another heat. While he raced, we watched and played.

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. I can't decide if I like it or not. It is lined just like the valences, but I'm thinking because of the thickness of the fabric (2 layers) it doesn't slide easily on the tension rod - so while it may look cute, it doesn't function quite like I expected. :-/. I have two options, I suppose: 1.) buy a trash can with a lid, and place it elsewhere and not under the sink. Also expect to wash the curtain often, as it will get quite dirty. After (with sink skirt). Sink Skirt = Love!

Monday, September 29, 2014. Happy National Coffee Day. It's National Coffee Day. Honest it is. Not wanting to be fuddy-duddies, Hannah and I took a little drive. To our favorite coffee stand. All the baristas here know us all by name. Most stands will ask, "Would you like straws or beans? They don't have to ask. They know our "usual". Is that a good thing or bad thing? Mine: Americano with a splash of half and half and a dash of cinnamon,. No straws, but beans - PLEASE! Perfect for this autumn Monday.
