Lactic acid that appears in the blood as a result of anaerobic metabolism when oxygen delivery to the tissues is insufficient to support normal metabolic demands. A normal lactate is low, i once heard a nurse say "ive seen kids on death row that have a lactate no higher than 3." Poor baby Adalyn's lactate was 15! On March 3, 2013. Today Ada got to get a taste of real food! That’s not to say the milk she’s been guzzling isn’t real. But bananas…that’s something anyone can eat!
