He is taking digital photography as an elective at school this year, so I suppose he wanted to get some practice shots in. Once he tired of that, he hung out with some of his friends who were there. Saturday, October 29, 2011. Last night's varsity football game was a REALLY exciting one! It was the CFA semifinal game in which the Tabernacle Torches took on the Tuscaloosa Warriors. The game went down to the wire, with the Torches stopping a Tuscaloosa drive at the goal line late in the 4th quarter. Tabernacle ended up winning the game 42-36. They now advance to the CFA championship game which will be played next Friday. Way to go Torches! He does a great job as Statistician for the team!

Welcome to Doves Retreat. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Feathered Visitors 4 Months Early. We were surprised yesterday with a visit of mommy turkey with her 5 poults. This is Mom telling her poults to follow her. Mom leads her troop to the woods slowly. I couldn't get a picture of the whole group . She didn't appear frightened but just a little apprehensive as I got closer. I bet they don't show up close to Thanksgiving Day. Welcome to Doves Retreat. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. These wild turkeys visited my yard about 4 months ago. Mommy turkey with 5 of her poults were getting fat here but didn't have the nerve to return when I could have used one of them. Maybe they are smarter than the average turkey.
