Adam Cohn - The School of Thought - SE Asia 2002
http://www.adamcohn.com/hong_kong-vietnam-cambodia-thailand/index.html
The School of Thought - Adam Cohn. November 23 - December 10, 2002. This was my first foray into the third world. I started relatively easy in Hong Kong, and then dove headlong into the madness in Saigon. I picked up a motorcycle diver and explored the Mekong River delta, and crashed a motorcycle before skipping town to Cambodia. I was enthralled with the temples at Angkor and took a harrowing journey to a more remote temple, completely subsumed by jungle. When viewing the photos, if you see this icon.

The School of Thought - Adam Cohn. Jordan, Israel, Ethiopia 2004. April 27 - May 27, 2004. This trek took me through Jordan, Israel, and Ethiopia. This was an emotionally difficult trip: I was surprised to be welcomed in Jordan, disappointed by the racism in Israel, and was astounded by the stark reality of life in Ethiopia. The stories here are my own experiences, thoughts, and interpretations of what I saw. 2004 Adam Cohn Travel Photography.

Dan Duties: Hamma Hamma Hamma Hamma Hamma Chameleon
http://danduties.blogspot.com/2008/08/main-dan-duty-for-this-weekend-was.html
Sunday, August 17, 2008. Hamma Hamma Hamma Hamma Hamma Chameleon. The main Dan Duty for this weekend was camping. Melissa has been itching to get out into the wilderness ever since our stay on the Wenatchee River at The River Spot. Last month, so even though I had homework to do this weekend (or maybe because of it), I was like, "Sure, let's go". Finding a tent (even if you own one, you probably lent it to someone else at some point). Gambling with the weather. Figuring out what to do if the campground i...
Dan Duties: What are "Dan Duties"?
http://danduties.blogspot.com/2008/08/what-are-dan-duties.html
Friday, August 15, 2008. What are "Dan Duties"? That's a good question. First of all, I'm Dan. And "Dan Duties" is a term coined by my girlfriend of many years, Melissa, to describe the various undertakings (some mundane, some obscure) which I feel compelled to occupy my free time with. I don't quite feel up to writing much narrative on my nascent weblog yet, so I'll start off with a list of some things that are definitely not. Sports of any kind. Plans for world domination. Stuff I watch on Netflix.

Chineasy Rider: 08/04/06

This blog begins with the travels of four men, four Chinese motorcycles, and 9 weeks in China. Friday, August 04, 2006. First Wave, Intact. Whew I finally made it to Jinan today. Within a few minutes of arrival, we threw around a few potential routes for the trip; variations that could include Laos or Vietnam, but it sounds like we'll stick with the original plan. We crested the mountain and sat at the top amongst a handful of laborers with pickaxes who were contouring the hill and planting cedar trees.

Dan Duties: Dan's Weird Dreams: #1
http://danduties.blogspot.com/2008/08/dans-weird-dreams-1.html
Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Dan's Weird Dreams: #1. I don't always remember my dreams by the time I'm fully awake in the morning, but the dreams I do remember are usually pretty fucking weird. Like last night's. Still though, the thing I remember is watching people's heads melt. Everything between the ears and above the jaw would just spontaneously liquefy. Can't really get that image out of my head. Gross. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lady of the peony. The Bad Check Diaries. The School of Thought.

The Second One
Tuesday, 23 September 2008. Music has taken a lot of forms over the course of its vast history. From Gregorian chant to modern hip-hop, jazz, rock and classical, music’s evolutionary tree is in many ways more complex than that of any animal. Fortunately for us listening, playing and composing today though, music has taken its evolutionary course in a fraction of the time, and continues to do so before our very eyes and ears.
