Cherry is wonderful to carve but finishing it is a challenge. It polishes to a glass like finish which means that even to smallest scratch is obvious to the naked eye. Now, if you do the math, from jonah's first tub bath until now. 6 months. i'm pretty sure that that might just be a woodworking record. that's 3 months per step.
