My school days conflict with possible ballet classes, and in my defense, there were no sideways to run on for a huge chunk of the winter. The Tough Mudder is a 10 mile (or longer) race with over twenty obstacles designed by ex-British Special Forces guys with a sick sense of humor. The point is not to get a fast time or even to win; in fact there are no clocks anywhere on the course, and they don’t use a timing chip like they do for most running events. The goal is to finish – ideally in one piece. Craig and I attempting to run after our ice bath, it only kind of worked.

I was always on time or early to meetings. My pen caps were always matched up with proper pens and always pushed on tight. Somewhere along the way, things changed. I guess it had something to do with becoming a newspaper editor. So how do these things happen? And does one go back to having things in order?

That motivated me to spackle the entire back wall (the yellow glue from the ugly fake wood floor tiles has been showing for months) in preparation of some tiling. But at least this motivated us to get some painting done on the lower cabinets. One step closer to having a completed kitchen. Saturday, May 22, 2010. A wonderful piece of history.
