Since Lev and I enjoy being on the snow so much, we are trying to instill the same love for the snow in Nola. In addition to sledding, we have been taking her out on strap on cross country skiis. On a walk with the Strykers and our neighbor Kate, Nola decided to follow her nap schedule by falling asleep while on Lev's shoulders. She slept through the transfer into and out of the car seat and on to her bed where she napped for 2 hours. The Life and Times of the Amazing Nola. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Spring Break in Santa Cruz. The Bend Strykers escaped the dreary snowless winter of Bend for the sunshine springtime in Santa Cruz. We arrived while Nola was napping. When she woke she cuddled on me quietly as we visited with Carmen, Jesse and Abbie. When she finally spoke she has only two words: pink walls. Carmen and Jesse's place is bright and cheerful and just what we needed. Thank you for having us Carmen and Jesse, we'll be back.

The Life and Times of the Amazing Nola. Tuesday, February 2, 2010. We take Nola up to Bachelor with us so we can play and she can hang out at the "play center". When we've had enough of the mountain, we have been trying to get Nola out for some snow play too. Sometimes we play on the tubes and Lev has even tried to sled with her on his snowboard. Wednesday, February 27, 2013. I finally picked a word for the year. So perfect that I can't believe I didn't think of it before. Everything lined up for it, the new year's resolutions, the way things are just easing up, the fact that my vacation time increases to four weeks per year in June. Big sigh.
