http://runnemederemembered.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Growing up in a small town in Southern New Jersey. Friday, December 27, 2013. Almost forty years ago. Who ARE these people? Well, I'm sure my children know who they are and would like me to take this picture out of my BLOG. To the left is Phil, my only son, at age 7 or 8; then comes Alan in his early 30s, Cyndi, our youngest; me; and Becky, our middle child, age 5. This picture is almost 40 years old. Weren't my children adorable? Posted by Judi Hahn. Links to this post. Anyway, that round cover, which h...

RUNNEMEDE REMEMBERED: A love story
http://runnemederemembered.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-love-story.html
Growing up in a small town in Southern New Jersey. Saturday, May 30, 2015. I was talking to Debbie earlier this week and she told me something I had never heard before about my mom and dad. Daddy was moved to North Carolina when he could no longer take care of himself and lived with Debbie. She asked him one day how he met my mother. This is what she told me. Ladies, get your hankies out. My mother wasn't admitting to her feelings for dad because - -. He talked about his love for my mom whenever I visite...

RUNNEMEDE REMEMBERED: Bad boys.
http://runnemederemembered.blogspot.com/2015/02/bad-boys.html
Growing up in a small town in Southern New Jersey. Monday, February 16, 2015. I imagine many of you know who the bad boys are, but I'll start at the beginning. I've been "concepting' this for weeks. I don't remember what time of year it was, or what year it was, all I know is that it was one really bad, bad evening, not only for me, but for my brothers, Markie and Diddle. Somehow my sister, Debbie, even though she was involved, got off with a smile from mommy. I sent my drunk sister over to the church to...

RUNNEMEDE REMEMBERED: Laughter
http://runnemederemembered.blogspot.com/2015/05/laughter.html
Growing up in a small town in Southern New Jersey. Saturday, May 30, 2015. I have to admit that when I get nervous I laugh - or giggle. It's a plague that has sometimes been a bad thing ever since I was a teenager. I was in a girls trio at church and we often would sing for the morning or evening service in what was called "special music". That's when a group or person would provide spiritual music for the church congregation. Unfortunately, as soon as my group began singing, I began giggling - the nerve...

RUNNEMEDE REMEMBERED: June 2014
http://runnemederemembered.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Growing up in a small town in Southern New Jersey. Tuesday, June 10, 2014. I am reading a series of books by Patrick E. Craig. It's the series of an Amish woman who was in a car wreck when she was four and found by an Amish woman. And since there was no way to find her parents, if they were still alive, the Amish couple was permitted by the State of Pennsylvania to adopt the little girl. How long after meeting did they know they loved each other? What was the past history of mom's family in Italy, and wh...

RUNNEMEDE REMEMBERED: January 2014
http://runnemederemembered.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Growing up in a small town in Southern New Jersey. Tuesday, January 21, 2014. It seems to me that in winter, Runnemede was quite snowy. I also remember my dad running down Second Avenue to the Pike hauling me on a sled behind him, and me telling him to slow down, which, of course, he didn't. I'm sure he was aware of safety, and if I fell from the sled it wouldn't hurt me, I mean, how fast can an old man of 40 run? Note: 40 isn't old, but to a 3-year-old it is.). Posted by Judi Hahn. Then some of us would go downstairs and play Ping-Pong. Yes, she had a Ping-Pong table. What fun we had on larger family get togethers playing round-robin Ping-Pong. She never let us think that. She was always attentive, making each of us believe we were important to her and that she enjoyed our romps in the park. Posted by Judi Hahn.

RUNNEMEDE REMEMBERED: January 2015
http://runnemederemembered.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Growing up in a small town in Southern New Jersey. Monday, January 12, 2015. I think I wrote about this a long time ago, but I'm going to write about it (again? Icing has nothing to do with cake. Where I live in Kentucky we get a lot of ice storms. We just dodged one this weekend. Get it? It was during that spate of days - and let me assure you I was skating from early am to dark - I taught myself to spin, skate backwards, jump (one twist) and that's about it. Posted by Judi Hahn.
