Thursday, March 15, 2012. A Day In The Hood Has Left The Building. That's right, we left. My husband and I no longer live in the North End of Winnipeg. We don't live anywhere in Winnipeg, for that matter. We moved into an RV, a home on wheels. So, why didn't we just get another house in the City? That's easy to answer. We can't afford to live anywhere else. And I can't live in the North End anymore. But we can afford to purchase an older, used motorhome. And that is what we did. Good day and God bless.

Friday, October 28, 2011. Hey Look, No Crime! I don't seem to be getting police reports in my email as often as I used to. Does that mean crime is down in Winnipeg? This morning I got one email reporting a crime on Selkirk Ave. Apparently a female was approached, and assaulted to the upper body but managed to escape in her vehicle. Wednesday, December 7, 2011. The North End is losing ambulance service next year. As of January, 2012, we will no longer have ambulances dispatched from the Redwood Firestation. We lost our Police Station on Main Street already. Our closest Police Station is now on Hartford Avenue. I wonder how long it will be before the fire station leaves the neighbourhood as well.
