Most of the other folks on the trip had all sorts of gear including walking sticks, heavy duty sleeping bags, thermoses etc. We brought wine, sandwiches and our camera (and of course our tent, but not much else! Regardless of our ill preparedness, the weekend remains one of our favorite memories. By way of the Profile Trail. Original cabin have belonged to the same family for more than a hundred years. Giant Christmas trees everywhere!

December 28, 2016. Happy Holidays from Mississippi! Just wanted to wish our beloved friends, family and any readers who I haven’t met personally, a very happy holiday season! I opted not to do a Christmas card this year for various reasons, so thought I’d share a few photos here. We are staying at my mom’s, in my hometown. That’s the Mississippi Gulf Coast for ya! Also the dress Grace is wearing was mine from when I was her age! Thanks for letting me share these pictures and as always, thanks for reading.
