The quantum mechanics class I have been taking has focused on exploring the uses of the bra and ket notation. We have used this notation to generalize changes from various observational bases in both finite and continuous cases. This week, I started to integrate Matt Curry's general quantum stuff into my code; this was done both to prevent replication of code in our two modules and to test to see if his code worked in a practical problem. Thursday, July 15, 2010. Weekday Update with Addison Cugini. So far this week I have been playing around with learning and implementing Quantum Algorithms. Since I have already created the framework to build a Quantum Fourier Transform (QFT), I decided to start work on implementing Shor's algorithm for prime factorization which uses the QFT to amplify certain select probabilities. This makes for a good demonstration that everything built up until now is working correctly. Integration of General Quantum.
