http://mysouthernmusings.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Musings of a Southern Girl. Welcome to my crazy, messy, wonderful life. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. I know hardly anything about cancer, but the one thing I do know is that it changes a lot. Just when you think you have it under control, it decides to take another route. It is frustrating, but thank goodness for tests that help the doctor stay on top of things. Thanks again for the sweet notes. I read all of them, and they put a huge smile on my face. I am one lucky girl. Y'all are amazing. We are a little s...

Musings of a Southern Girl. Welcome to my crazy, messy, wonderful life. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. I haven't updated the blog in a while so I thought it was time. Plus, I just love that y'all read it. It is very humbling. Last week I cut my hair. It is a combination of the two pictures I posted. I love it! It is so easy and fun! Mandy at Freshair is wonderful and so patient with me. :-) I'm not good at selfies so sorry about the photo. Ok This is such a cute idea, but it cracked me up! Lucas and Eli (born 4...

Riley did surprisingly well considering she's only 2. She loved climbing and getting dirty! Our first stop was at the Visitors Center where. Braden entered us into the guest book. Riley liked looking at the snakes and spiders. We then started on our first hike. We traveled down Petroglyph Canyon. To Mouse's Tank. We saw lots of petroglyphs and enjoyed climbing. On the rock by Mouse's Tank. Mouse's Tank was named after an outlaw. Who used the area as a hideout in the 1890's. It is a natural basin in.

Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew: January 2014
http://keepingtabsonthejonescrew.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew. Thursday, January 23, 2014. And she was immediately planning a Beard party. She even asked Aunt Laurel to make beard cookies and a cake. I think we all thought she'd forget about it and this party would never happen. That was not the case. In fact quite the opposite occurred she wouldn't stop talking about her beard party. So we planned a date and got to work thinking about what to do. The office was used for pictures. You are seeing a sneak peek of the new color. Thank yo...

The Polk Family: waiting is the hardest part
http://polkfamily1.blogspot.com/2013/01/waiting-is-hardest-part.html
Waiting is the hardest part. Well y'all, we've been in find-a-new-home-for-the-polks mode. it's been fun, but a little stressful. mostly for keith, just because he's just trying to work and make a living and i'm constantly texting/bombarding him with houses or land or whatever idea has occured to me that day. God bless him, he puts up with a lot sometimes. As you might have guessed, we balance each other out. At church sunday i got a chance to talk to a lady who with her husband has committed to pray for...

Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew: December 2013
http://keepingtabsonthejonescrew.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew. Thursday, December 26, 2013. The day after Christmas. I was totally disappointed when they chose to wear the ASU shirts yesterday over their cute clothes. So I made them take a picture this morning. They are having so much fun playing together with all their new toys. Posted by Derek and Melanie. The kids did not wake up until almost 7 am! We couldn't believe they slept in on Christmas Day. When Chase opened this present he said, "I've been waiting for this set for years!

Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew: November 2013
http://keepingtabsonthejonescrew.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew. Saturday, November 23, 2013. Chase lost his 1st tooth. Chase's story behind how he lost his tooth isn't what you'd expect. Derek and I were downstairs when it happened. Apparently Maeley and Chase were pulling from both ends of his blanket. For whatever reason he had his blanket in his mouth. Well Maeley pulled hard enough a tooth popped out. The crazy thing is was it wasn't even loose to begin with! It was my favorite tooth! It was my buddy.". It was my favorite.". It's a...

http://keepingtabsonthejonescrew.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew. Monday, October 28, 2013. When Maeley was nearly 3 she went to her cousin Kourtney's baptism. Ever since then she has been so excited to be baptized. Now its finally going to happen in a few weeks. Maeley has changed so much in the past year, maybe even just within the past 6 months. Maeley wants to help out often. She loves to read! In addition to her own reading each night (often 1-1.5 hours) she reads to Chase and Zoe almost daily. Posted by Derek and Melanie. Its unbel...

Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. On the Sunday before Christmas we tend to dress festive and take a family picture. It somehow became a tradition. Derek and Chase clearly had a great time taking pictures as they waited for the girls and I to get ready. I loved this area. I miss it like crazy. I love Christmas decorations! The kids had no idea! They were done with taking pictures. Posted by Derek and Melanie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Chocolate...

Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew: July 2014
http://keepingtabsonthejonescrew.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Keepin' Tabs On The Jones Crew. Wednesday, July 23, 2014. My vision is coming to life! Countertop purchased at Ikea. Starting to build the bookshelves. It was funny because while we were painting them in the garage before installing them they didn't seem all that big. That is until they are sat on top of cabinets that are about 3' high. So happy we took it to the ceiling! I love it, needs finishing touches though. I could not be happier with the finished project. Thanks Derek! You did such a great job!
