At 7:53 on Feb 14, 2015, our Kickstarter campaign was sucessfully funded. As soon as the printer arrived on March 1, we started printing. We'll post videos and pictures soon of the process leading up to your keychains, bottle openers, and the end goal- a prosthetic socket. We're making things to walk on. Well.in. The stakes are higher in lower-limb prosthetics. Properly dispersing 200 lbs is far more difficult than comfortably dispersing the tension of a velcro strap around your forearm. This is why we feel it is so important to bring 3D printed prostheses out of the hobby/philanthropy world, and into the realm of professional, clinical care provided my trained, ABC board certified clinicians. Don't we already have 3D printed prosthetics? This is old news.right?

3D printing has been around for a while, and everybody has seen a story here or there about someone receiving a 3D printed prosthesis. We think it's time for 3D printed prostheses to stop being a novelty and become the standard of care in the professional arena. To make this possible, we will learn to make quality devices on 3D printers which fit within an O&P clinic's budget, not on cost-prohibitive quarter-million dollar behemoths.
