The Babbling Blog: March 2011
http://baydprit.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
A blog about racing on skinny tires, and whatever else is up with the universe. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Brought to you by Old Man Winter. Nothing like a commute home as your pawls freeze up and your pedals spin with no engagement with the rest of the time spent biking sideways. Gah. Still, I can't complain. It could be worse, right? Tuesday, March 15, 2011. If I Were King. I would make this an official national holiday. Happy 'first outside ride of the year' day/week everyone! Saturday, March 12, 2011.

The Babbling Blog: Tour of Catskills
http://baydprit.blogspot.com/2011/08/tour-of-catskills.html
A blog about racing on skinny tires, and whatever else is up with the universe. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Last weekend was definitely the most strenuous two days of my life. Either of the two days would probably have qualified on their own for the hardest day. Wasn't exactly supposed to be that way, even though the course would have its challenges for everyone! The pace of the stage started off pretty hot, team mate Derrek was planning to light things up early and shake up the teams trying to control t...

The Babbling Blog: Another Two for One Deal: Crit Weekend
http://baydprit.blogspot.com/2011/07/another-two-for-one-deal-crit-weekend.html
A blog about racing on skinny tires, and whatever else is up with the universe. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Another Two for One Deal: Crit Weekend. This past weekend was another double, with the Detroit City Crit on Saturday followed by the. Ontario Cup in Windsor. Both first year races on the calendar on pretty nice courses. The Detroit crit had about 50 starters, I had two team mates, and Anton was racing as well. After some hard charging I found myself in what looked like the perfect breakaway:. So I hang...

The Babbling Blog: August 2011
http://baydprit.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
A blog about racing on skinny tires, and whatever else is up with the universe. Monday, August 15, 2011. Niagara Classic: Pass and Fail. The Niagara Classic - a race to love and hate. Pretty simple rectangular course with a fairly short but steeeep climb up Effingham hill each of the 10 laps around. Nice course to race, but the hill kills. Really not that hard to get up and over, but its usually a sprint up there each time which can take its toll very quickly. Our race had about 35 riders, offering the p...

The Babbling Blog: Provincial Road Race Wrap Up
http://baydprit.blogspot.com/2011/07/provincial-road-race-wrap-up.html
A blog about racing on skinny tires, and whatever else is up with the universe. Monday, July 25, 2011. Provincial Road Race Wrap Up. After the whole National's debacle, I certainly had this race pegged as a priority. Got out last weekend to preview the course with Rachel on a scotching hot day but still had a great ride. It looked like possibility of wind which always makes for an interesting race, but otherwise nothing very special about the course, some rollers but nothing intense. So in the middle of ...

The Babbling Blog: October 2011
http://baydprit.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
A blog about racing on skinny tires, and whatever else is up with the universe. Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Long Overdue Tour de Hans Report. Last week life was packed and this had to be put on the back burner for a bit. But as the last event, it will get an entry here. So as a preamble this event was touted as a 'Tour' but with 'precision timing'. so I think its clear what they're getting at there. We somehow bring them back after a bit, I think they just sat up for whatever reason. After a few pointless...

The Babbling Blog: May 2011
http://baydprit.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
A blog about racing on skinny tires, and whatever else is up with the universe. Saturday, May 28, 2011. Killington Stage Race, Stage 1: May 28th. This update is coming from a ghost town ski resort that is probably bumping in the winter time, now occupied by a bunch of skinny people in tights at every turn. Had a good drive down here, nice and early Thursday with the Rachel. Seamless trip except for a few exciting episodes. Exit 27, apparently a tricky exit to take. Ask her about it. The race starts and i...
